No Verlander, which is nice, but I'd still settle for a split on the road. Detroit needs 3 out of 4.

Cowley was tweeting yesterday that Carlos Torres was going to start tomorrow night.

Historically, the Sox have beat up Verlander pretty good. With both teams off today, I'm wondering why they didn't just make this game up today rather than a doube dip tomorrow.

Not sure, but I know the CBA does not allow for a certain number of days in a row with a game, not sure what that number is, but that would be the only explanation. Its not like either team had a long flight or played on Sunday Night.

Given a choice, most any player would tell you that they would rather play a double header one day, if it means having an off day on another.

The Tigers are beat up and fading. But this series has the potential to either put them right back in it, or signal the trumpets to play taps.

9 games behind after the Sox won today, you can start playing "Taps" now, the Tigers are done unless a miracle happens.
