Lid lifter tonight

Lineup is:

Pierre LF
Vizquel 3B
Rios CF
Konerko 1B
Quentin RF
AJ C
Ramirez SS
Teahen DH
Beckham 2B

Sweaty Freddy pitching tonight (it's a good thing the bullpen got some rest last night)

AJ Burnett going tonight for the Yankees

I have a horrible feeling going in, which is usually a good thing for the Sox.

I hope Joe West is working the series. I want to see Hawk snap.

How does 9-2 Sox after 6 feel?

Much better. Like I said, they are usually in much better shape when I don't feel good about the series.

gregg williams has a lot more issues than payton does at this point. not impressed by their defense at all.

Great game by Freddy, the offense knocked Burnett around early and Alexei and Beckham turned a couple very nice double plays. Great pitching matchup tonight with CC vs Danks.

Pierre lf
Ramirez ss
Rios cf
Konerko 1b
Quentin DH
Castro c
Jones rf
Lillibridge 3b
Beckham 2b

Danks really needs to shut the Yankees down and hopefully this 'lineup' can scratch a couple runs off CC Biggins.

Tonight would be good for one of CC's old hamstring injuries that he used to get at the Cell to pop up.

Johnny giving up more 1st inning runs. This is starting to be a disturbing trend.

sabathia is eminently hittable tonight. danks can't keep them in the ballpark, but neither can sabathia. if danks can be that dude who gives up a bunch of runs and is like "that's it" well then they'll have a shot. i don't think that the yankees bullpen outside of rivera is anything you lose sleep over... unless you phear kerry wood, that is.

wtf happened to joba chamberlain, btw? he he just a totally nondescript reliver these days?

Yeah he sucks. They also have Javy Vazquez pitching out of the bullpen. I wouldn't mind seeing them drag his tired ass out there.

Booner! I forgot this shitbag is on this team too. This is the most top heavy 'team' in the history of baseball.

Is Mariano the only guy in this shitty bullpen who can get anybody out?? How the hell is this team so good?!?!

Well hopefully the Sox pitchers won't walk 9 guys tomorrow and the offense can jump all over Super Nova. Whoever the hell he is.

Nicky the Swish goes yard in back to back games huh??? How bout that...Yankees look to take the series tomorrow with Ivan Nova taking the bump and Elmhurst Steve "in the house". Maybe Nick can hit another dinger and do the worm afterwards, like he did in the old commercials he did for the Sox. Thats entertainment.....

Entertainment to me is seeing douchebag Steve posting in the Sox section while his team is an embarrassment to baseball, again.

Lemme guess how this one ends. Sox get no-hit by an unknown and lose 2-0. The Sox really have no business going for Manny. They can't beat the teams they need to and can't win series at home like they should.

Excuse me, I mean shut-out.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they don't get no hit

What a fun game!! Both teams blew opportunities to score more. The Sox loading the bases and coming up empty....the Yankees doing the same, as well as leading off the 8th with a runner on 2nd and nobody out and then Swisher fails to advance the runner to 3rd and strikes out....Sad. Nice to see Kerry Wood, but he wasn't particularly sharp. Nove has one hell of a breaking ball. Sox hitters were missing it by a foot. that ball was dropping off the table. Nice to see Riviera contribute and get his first save in a couple months. Not surprised the Yankees won the series, but I did expect a sweep. Now the Sox get Boston  I expect more of the same.

Wrong again, twinkle toes. They have 3 in Cleveland before a weekend series in Boston.

Just as we expect the same from you. Stupidity, racist-comments, no original thoughts, jealousy, etc.

How are your Cubbies doin' douchebag? Twenty under still? What a fucking joke. Let the Mike Quade era begin!

Here's a slogan for you. "Let's hope Steve goes to Heaven in 2011!" Just kidding although Steve is still a douchebag.
