Is Hawk still fuming about the Minnesota (Texas third base coach incident) victory? What the hell happened to Manny and this hair cut he had scheduled in Boston? He looks the same as he always did? I guess the suits realized that when a guy gets on base nearly every AB, then power tripping over his hair is unimportant.

You gotta rest guys whenever you can. That being said I would still want at least one in the lineup. I think you can rest guys without having two big bats out of the lineup at once.

Another appearance of "You gotta be bleepin me" regarding Inge's foul ball home run.

"I'll tell you what. That's embarrassing there." -- Hawk's comment on the umps calling that a HR.

It really sucks that Minnesota is not going to lose another game all year.

Yeah and left hoping for the Royals to win is not a good spot to be in. Win 7 in a row and still stay 3.5 games out. That sucks.

KC has closed to within 1 run. You can all thank chris getz and his perfectly executed sacrifice for that last run.

Was just going to post this. Don't like the Sox chances to stay hot like this, but I would think the injuries would start to hurt the Twins sometime soon.

Twins just won't lose. Thome has another HR and 2 RBI.

The Sox look real good in their latest S_T_R_E_T_C_H ...going 8-2 over their last 10. They can't help what Minnesota does and it seems they have not let the pressure of being in the final few weeks get to them. Some teams might watch the scoreboard and lose a bit of focus as the # of games is diminished and the pressure increases. But Ozzie seems to have the club focused and the relief pitching has been better of late. Jenks and Sale have had some big performances of late. That kid looks like one hell of a draft choice. I really doubt the Sox can catch the Twins. To do so, they likely will have to go about 18-7 over the final 25 games (assuming the Twins win at their seasonal rate and not the higher rate they have played in the 2nd half and especially of late). But even if the Sox fall short, if they continue to battle as they have of late, they will be able to hold their heads high and know they didn't give up.

Lighten the hell up....you get on these radio stations and profess to be some kind of Baseball Ph.D....usually expounding on the obvious.....BUT THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT.......3 1/2 GAMES OUT OF FIRST PLACE ON LABOR DAY IS NOTHING.....Look at Baseball History....Look at the recent history of the A.L. Central and the annual Play In Game....
THE WHITE SOX CAN WIN THIS DIVISION BY 5 GAMES RIGHT NOW........Anybody can play Poindexter Bernstein with probabilities....Baseball history DEFIES Probability.
THIS AIN'T OVER TILL IT'S OVER....Despite STATHEADS...and this isn't about "Holding their heads high" if they lose.

This is a prime example of Cub fan loser talk. You come up short you fail. Deal with it and move on...but hold your ball club accountable. Whoever says games in april don't count is full of shit! The sox get 5 or 6 more wins in the first two months and this whole race has a different feel. Cubs fans need to stay out of WhiteSox business!! Heads held high...pussy shit. Win or shut up!

The Sox don't have to go 18-7 to win the division. Does anyone really believe that? Hell, if they take 2 of 3 in the series against Minnesota, they've only got to make up 2.5 games. Steve keeps posting the fallacy that the Twins are going to finish with the same percentage they currently have as if that's a fact. It's not even likely. I don't know if the Sox can catch the Twins. I'd sure rather be the team 3.5 in front. But it clearly isn't the insurmountable task that idiots like Steve and li'l danny bernstein want to make it out to be.

7-0 on the road is great. I still expect the Twins to come back to Earth. I would love to see a Padres stretch from them.

I wouldn't expect that, but it surely isn't unreasonable to believe they might play under .500 on the road the rest of the way and they have a whole lot of games on the road.

Bernstein is just so fucking smug making his grandiose pronouncements backed by his statistical percentages...Turning baseball into a stats class....in a few months he will be talking up the N.B.A. like it is the greatest thing on Earth when in reality it is about 3 rungs up the ladder from the Globetrotters.
If Bernstein is so fucking smart, let him fix the economy or research cancer instead of sitting behind a microphone in the toy department.
He isn't that unique a radio personality.....If he's so bored being bothered by the asswipe dopes that call.....GET A NEW CAREER.
