As much I love Stone as an analyst, he is a horrible play by play guy

talks very fast and nervous, but maybe he is trying to carry the load for this amateur color guy, and I have no idea who it is

anyone know who this fruit is??

That would be former White Sox TV guy Tom Pacoreick (sp?)

Hawks kind of forced him out back in 2000, which is how we wound up with DJ on TV for almost 10 years.

i just thought of paciorek but then said "nah"

i mean, after 10 years, he sounds more cheery and gay and talks faster than he did 10 years ago

isn't someone supposed to talk a little slower, and sound little more mature as they get older? i dont get it...not to mention his voice sounds a bit different for some reason

With Big Frank in the booth tomorrow, I will be skipping the game. So if Hawk misses the game with enough notice, Stone can take off also? Tomorrow should be real bad.

Paciorek rambles endlessly like some happy drunk in a bar and Steve is trying to outrace him and talk faster, because it is convention that the play by play man does most of the talking...and then that feeds Paciorek even more, and it sounds like 2 guys having a contest of who talks faster

absolutely horrible...

yes i know...I didnt really follow them as much in the 90s, and definitely didnt watch many of their games...

but yes I knew wimpy and what he looked like and what he sounded like...from what i remember they seemed like happy broadcast team...just didnt think, 10 years after being fired, he'd be this chippy in a substitute assignment...and didnt think he would even be considered for it

I disagree. I thought the broadcast was okay. I like getting more input from Stone and Paciorek was okay. he's not outstanding, but he's at least average. Certainly better than DJ was on TV.
