Did Cowley always try to make Ozzie look right in his stories because Kenny wouldn't talk to him?

Sure sounds like it, even though I agree with most of what he said this year regarding Kenny and Ozzie, fact is he still might have been way too close to Ozzie and certain players to have written both sides of this story.

Ozzie being gone will be more then interesting to see how well they do after him.

Not sure if he had an actual hand in the divorce but he sure as hell was the direct mouthpiece for Ozzie and his kids. Just listening to his his weekly interviews and such and how he talked about Ozzie v. Kenny was very telling. Interesting as hell to listen to him (ozzie mouthpiece) v. Kenny (and his mouthpieces)...we, i guess, got a first hand week to week progression of how things were going. It was def. helped along by the fact that neither combatants had a penchant for parsing their words.

But yes, Cowley was Ozzie and his kids lap dog when it came to "spreading the word".

Edit: Looking at my post....I guess he did have a hand in it all.

Joey Cora = new White Sox manager.

Will Oney please just go away, he's a no talent, spoiled jerkoff with a ego bigger than Ozzie's. He and Cowley are two really useless human beings with little to no talent.

Kenny Williams is an adult. The Guillen kids are spoiled little children. Ozzie is somewhere in between. Joe Cowley should be paid by the Guillens rather than the Sun-Times. What he does is public relations rather than reporting. Ozzie wants to act like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth because Kenny said he wouldn't stop Ozzie from leaving if he wanted to. He knows his stupid fuckin' kids are running around talking about how the Sox don't respect their father and how much the Marlins want him. Let him go down there and bunt and steal that team out of any chance they may have. Fuckin' big mouth. Can't control his brain-dead kids. Talking shit about how much he "loves" the White Sox. Let him go love the Marlins. Watch how he bad mouths the Sox once he's gone. Guillens are all full of shit.

Ozzie talked himself out of town once so it should come as a surprise to no one if he does it again.

I don't want the 2010 version of Ozzie back. I want the old Ozzie who had a sense of urgency and was focused on winning. If this is the Ozzie they get he can pack up his three ring circus and hit the fuckin bricks.

Ozzie wore out his welcome when he just sat back and let his son talk shit about his boss.

A lot of people have forgotten that. I haven't. When you tell me as the paying customers to go fuck myself, it takes more than riding the bench while your team pitches its ass off to win a World Series to win me back.

The Ozzie/Kenny/Jerry soap opera is so tiresome and regrettable that WSOX should reimburse its advertisers who ran spots before or after segments devoted to this horseshit. Hours and hours of this crap that's not going to amount to anything because nobody's actually going anywhere.

Yeah, he let that go, when I think most people might have expected him to step in and tell the kid to STFU.

He was fired before the season began and rightfully so. What that has to do with Ozzie telling him to cut the crap and shut up, before it causes problems for him too, I'm not sure. You think that because the kid was fired, he has the right to spout whatever he wants and create an uncomfortable situation for his Father??? You think getting fired basically created "open season" on the general manager and that Ozzie shouldn't step in and tell him to shut up?? My God you think like a child..

Ozzie was part of FIRING his own son because he was acting like a jagoff.

If only somebody else's dad actually had the balls to fire thier own son for acting like a tool...
