The White Sox record in sideline rehab simulated games will be much better. |

Woody said he was close to signing with the Sox this off season. As much as I would have liked to see him in a Sox uniform I'm happier they signed Jesse Crain. Crain is a better bet to stay healthy and his signing also weakened a division rival. If the Sox need another reliever at the deadline maybe Kenny can trade for him after the Cubs June Swoon. |

If the Cubs have a hand shake offer of a job broadcasting for Wood and it was used as an enticement for him to sign with the Cubs doesn't that run afoul of some league rule? |

I'm not really buying Lil Danny's crackpot theory. Why would a 33 yr old multi-millionaire be so worried about life after baseball? By all accounts Woody is a great guy and I don't think he has to engage in a handshake/under the table deal to secure his place in an organization after his retirement. |

You can offer personal services contracts, as far as I know. The Astros did it for Roger Clemens, though that didn't really work out for them, now did it. Getting a real "we lost but we won" vibe from this thread. |

Although he denied the broadcasting rumor, it sounds like he'll be a kid kissing ambassador. Maybe the promised him a statue! |
