while I might have agreed with you in the past, I have heard DJ do national games on Radio and TV and he is really good. It's Farmer who creates a terrible broadcast. It might be impossible to team someone up with him as long as he is the Play by Play guy driving the broadcast with inside jokes, extra dry sarcastic remarks that his partner isn't sure if he is joking or not.
"Did you ever _____ when you ______ in the big leagues" that is the go to statement they use about once an again to each other bcause it seems it is the only common ground these 2 have.
But once again, Ranger insists they are great friends and get along great......< bullshit>
bigfan, you know I love you. (I actually really do. Sort of). And you are entitled to your opinion on the broadcasts themselves. However, I am telling you, with every fiber of my being, that they do get along VERY well and they actually like each other. I know them both pretty well and I can tell you this with absolute certainty. Actually, it's probably even the most comfortable that each of them, individually, has been working in the booth.
I've talked to you a number of times in person and I've been pretty candid about quite a bit of stuff. I wouldn't lie to you. Quit being so damned cynical!
LIAR! LOL
OK, I kinda believe you, but the fact is perception is reality, especially in that business. I don't even think the biggest Sox fans on here, Frank C, etc see this as a good working team on the radio?
PLUS, your own station often mentions this as a rocky relationship? Playing sound clips of the two of them having their typical uncomfortable conversation?
I know you can relate to this analogy. They sound like a couple on a bad first date.
