You just don't want the White Sox to win more than 85 games. Peavy will play in May and June, then go back to the 60 day DL. He does have extra grindyness and enjoy his being a member of RedNeck Row in the Sox clubhouse, Peavy is not healthy. |

They've been saying all along that a setback was inevitable because Peavy still had scar tissue to break through. Hopefully this is what he is experiencing now. Put the brakes on and get ready for April 15 or May 1. |

Ozzie has said Peavy will probably be heading to the D.L. He also said this is the last time he listens to Peavy, that this is the 2nd time he said he was ready to pitch, and he wasn't, then got hurt. |

Yeah, Peavy is a fuckin' tool. Every time he was interviewed this spring he talked about "normal soreness". Now suddenly he's had odd tightness since his first start? And there's always this underlying thing with him that the Sox doctors and coaches did some shit wrong with him. Well, maybe if he'd stop lying, they could figure out how to handle his gimpy ass properly. |

I heard he was also sick with the flu this past week, and either didn't do any side work or did very limited side work before this start on Saturday. I appreciate that the guy wants to get out there and help the team during the first week of April. But c'mon dude if you feel something wrong, or you're bedridden with the flu, take a couple of extra days off. Now instead of maybe missing a little bit of work in spring training, the earliest we will likely see you Jake is late April. Sometimes over the course of 7-8 months of playing baseball every single fucking day, you need to dial down a notch. |

With Peavy, it looks like Sox fans might get to experience the same frustration that Cubs fans did with Wood & Prior. |

Although it's been revealed that Jake Peavy's rotator cuff tendinitis isn't necessarily related to the unusual shoulder injury he suffered last summer vs. the Angels at U.S. Cellular Field, the White Sox should be very, very slow with #44. Considering how much $$$$ they've got invested in Peavy over the next couple of years, the White Sox should proceed with caution. Peavy should remain in Arizona when the Sox break camp and take their chances in his slot with Tony Pena, Jr. or one of the few rookies they have right now for the immediate future. I feel Peavy is one really bad injury away from cutting his career short. |

I feel Prior is one really bad injury away from cutting his career short. The above minor changes and we're talking about Mark Prior in 2005! |

Again, if the Sox get anything out of this guy in 2011 its a plus. I have conditioned myself to expect nothing from him. Maybe one of the youn guys (Humber) steps up, maybe Pena can provide valuble inning or maybe Sale can be stretched out. I still think this team can win the division without Peavy, anything he adds at this point is a bonus. |

Well in 123whistlers defense, Peavy does have a Cy Young award. Wood accomplished more when he hit that dramatic 3 run basket with no time left to send the Cubs to the lead in game 6 of the division series. That was special. |

you can't really compare wins or rings in baseball, too many other factors. peavy will have another good season maybe two, before he hangs it up. wood and prior are done. wood/prior never sniffed a cy young, never will. |
