So what set him off again this year about all the other places he is going to work and all the other things he can do in life?

I don't know. Why do you seem to care so much? Shouldn't you be worrying about your own goddam team who's a lot closer to 1st place than Ozzie's squad right now?

I don't know but he's free to submit his resume to others for all I care. He's not that good of a manager to deal with this kind of stuff constantly.

Am I the only one who notices that no one on WSCR (especially Boers and Bernstein) questions any of Ozzie's moves he makes on a daily basis....the response I always hear is "Can you really blame Ozzie?"....how about "Yes!"

Didn't Bernstein yesterday complain about how Ozzie steals way too much and how "outs are important"?

Yes. He rips on Ozzie quite frequently.

I was really hoping those rumors about the Sox getting Stanton from the Marlins for Ozzie were true. I'll take talented players over a manager every time.

That's because it wasn't on your imaginary station, WSOX.

I agree. I'm not saying that managers are meaningless but really what is the difference between the best manager and an above average manager? There is a basic strategy to baseball that 95% of knowledgeable baseball people could execute and then 5% of other stuff. The biggest thing is keeping the clubhouse happy and motivated, but I question just how successful Ozzie is at this and if it's not simply a function of good leaders like Konerko, AJ, and Buehrle counteracting the semi-annual "look at me" Ozzie rant.

I think Ozzie germinated this atmosphere of the leaders taking care of the team, but at one time he was the person who held the clubhouse in line.

He can say what he wants but I think the Oney issues cost him some credibility with the rednecks clique,
