I don't think Ozzie will lose his job during the season no matter what happens. Now if they really struggle throughout the whole year and finish well out of contention then he might lose his job in the offseason, but even then I doubt it. Jerry loves him. |

"Of course I worry," Guillen said. "I got seven or eight guys not swinging the bat well." Just 7 or 8 huh? Who is the guy swinging the bat well? |

This team is cellar material. Ozzie needs to go, along with Kenny and Walker. Coop may even be up for grabs too. This team is lifeless and doesn't have the character to come back in time to stay above .500. This team needs a huge change to compete next year. |

Just took a glance at the Sox schedule. They have a 6 game homestand v Balt and Minn, they need to make some ground there. Or this Ozzie being fired (+200 at Bodog to start the season) could really get some legs with a West coast swing to LAA, SEA and OAK Come here for TEX, CLEVE and LA DODgers, then right back on the road for 10 in 10 days, @ TEX, BOST and TOR. Really didnt give the "Ozzie could be gone" much credence, but it could be |

Agree, Kenny is going nowhere. |

Lou isn't busy right now and I hear he is getting quite bored with all of this time on his hands. |

If the Sox don't turn around soon and are lets say 8 games under .500 by June, then we will see the inevitable Ozzie blowup, he will play the martyr role, take an indirect shot at Kenny and the roster he was given and Ozzie will go on to say that he doesn't need to manage the Sox to be happy. Ozzie will say something like "the Sox can fire me, I go manage somewhere else." This will lead to the final confrontation between Kenny and Ozzie and Jerry will finally have to decide. And Jerry will pick Kenny. I don't think Reinsdorf will get rid of Ozzie until Ozzie blows his top, then Jerry will have the decision basically made for him. |

Or you can have Quade straight up for some used spikes. |

If Reinsdorf really gave a damn, he would get rid of both Kenny and Ozzie...either one at a time, or together, by October. This WIN NOW...NO FARM SYSTEM scheme has run its course. 2005 is long gone...take down the stupid sign. |

Ozzie and Kenny are both here for life, you guys know it, and you'll gloat about it in June when an Ozzie rant precedes a winning streak and Kenny trades for, I dunno, Eric Chavez or something. |

If Ozzie loses his job as a direct result of the White Sox freefall, who replaces him as manager? Do they name bench coach Joey Cora as an interim in-house replacement? Do they handpick Buddy Bell out of the minors to fill out the lineup card? There are no easy answers for how to get the Sox out of their funk. Firing Ozzie might be nothing more than putting a band-aid on the team's many troubles, and I'm not so sure that's the answer. |
