Well, if the Sox show up as well as they did last night against the Yankees, hopefully Baltimore is nice enough to give them a reacharound, and maybe buy breakfast too.

Friday: 7:10 p.m.; CSN.

RH Jake Arrieta (2-1, 4.94 ERA) vs. LH John Danks (0-3, 3.27).

Saturday: 6:10 p.m.; WGN-Ch. 9.

RH Chris Tillman (0-2, 6.16) vs. RH Phil Humber (2-2, 3.20).

Sunday: 1:10 p.m.; CSN.

LH Zach Britton (4-1, 2.84) vs. RH Gavin Floyd (3-1, 3.60).

Monday: 7:10 p.m.; WCIU-Ch. 26.

RH Jeremy Guthrie (1-3, 2.53) vs. LH Mark Buehrle (1-3, 5.12).

Buck Showalter has a total mancrush on Vladimir Guerrero.

I'll definitely be there to see Zach Britton on Sunday, though I might have to pop over tonight and/or tomorrow if the weather's shapes up to be as nice as it would seem to be.

and speaking of mancrushes, shit, i'll have to bust out the Vlad Expos jerseys for my sojourn/s.

Sox win tonite, Saturday, and Monday. Britton shuts down Ozzie's AAA/Sunday lineup.

The Orioles gave the White Sox a lot of trouble shortly after Buck Showalter traded in the suit & tie on ESPN's "Baseball Tonight" for a lineup card and double knits as the O's manager in the second half of the 2010 season. This better be the weekend where the White Sox slumping offense picks it up and resembles an actual MLB team.

I was also thinking about this today. While I'm not about to give up on struggling 2B Gordon Beckham and his .200 BA starting play today, my dad & I have argued about Beckham and 3B Brent Morel possibly going back to Triple "A" Charlotte to work on their respective swings. Both of these guys appear either lost or intimidated by ML pitching right now, and what hitting coach Greg Walker said in the Sun-Times today didn't give me the impression that Beckham's ready to break out of his nearly 3-week long slump.

There's a veteran second baseman currently out of work right now and someone with ties to Ozzie from when the two were Marlins down in Miami. He's Luis Castillo, who was released by the Mets and had a brief cup of coffee with the Phillies in Spring Training before getting his walking papers there. I wonder if the Sox should take a flyer on Castillo as a short-term solution to what's ailing them right now. I also wonder if Castillo has anything left in the tank at age 35. He'd be better than a possible Omar Vizquel/Brent Lillibridge platoon if Beckham is sent down.

The lineup is in for tonight's first of four with the Orioles. Bench coach Joey Cora serves as acting manager the next 2 nights while Ozzie serves a two-game suspension for his ejection and Tweeting about it during the Yankee game Wednesday night. He won't have Alex Rios due to a sore toe that forced him to leave last night's 12-3 debacle in the Bronx, but these are the 9 who will be dealing with O's right-hander Jake Arrieta:

1 Juan "Still Leading Off" Pierre LF
10 Alexei "2 Hits & a Run Scored" Ramirez SS
20 Carlos "1 Hit, 1 RBI" Quentin RF
14 Paul "0 For 4 Last Night" Konerko 1B
32 Adam "Another Strikeout Last Night!" Dunn DH
12 A.J. "I Didn't Play Last Night" Pierzynski C
18 Brent "Put Me At Second" Lillibridge CF
23 Mark "Brent Morel's Days May Be Numbered" Teahen 3B
15 Gordon "What's Luis Castillo Doing These Days?" Beckham 2B

John "No Run Support" Danks continues to search for his first win of the season tonight.

Don't know too much about this Arrieta kid, maybe Keyser will come around with a scouting report.

Danks has got to get some kind of run support sooner or later...

Arrieta is pretty good though Matusz and Britton get all the hype. He throws hard (95+) but doesn't always know where it going. The Sox need to be patient and make him throw strikes. If they bail him out by swinging early in the count it could be another rough night for the offense.

You know, this wind has always had it out for us. Any time this wind has our game, we gotta fight against this wind as well as the other team.

The Orioles have batted around, scored 5 runs, and have 2 men on with only 2 hits in the inning.

Fuck you.

This is just fucking fun-bad to the max.

Who's head is on a pike first? Ozzie or Walker?

Ozzie is due for an atomic explosion and Walker lives his life with a bullseye painted on his stupid ass face.

I predict the inter-team drama will be the real attraction for the White Sox seeing as the team blows and sucks balls and licks ass and tickles taints.
