Two against the Twins and then an off day

Pitching:
Tonight: Francisco Liriano (1-4 9.13 ERA) vs Edwin Jackson (2-3 5.86 ERA)
Tomorrow: Nick Blackburn (1-4 5.14 ERA) vs John Danks (0-4 3.92 ERA)

Hoping for a split

I have a feeling that the White Sox are going to kick these guys squarely in the nuts. Liriano has been real real bad, and game 2 is Nick Blackburn.... have you seen a Twins lineup lately? Jesus.

It seems hard to believe that the White Sox will FINALLY have a day off Thursday after 20 straight games. Who's the idiot in the MLB scheduling department responsible for that?

As for tonight, look for plenty of right-handed hitters tonight vs. Francisco Liriano and maybe 1 or 2 left-handed hitters when Ozzie's lineup is revealed later this afternoon.

Jeeez first the refs and now the scheduling department. The Sox are persecuted by the league.

As advertised, right-handed hitters are the order of the night in Ozzie's lineup vs. Francisco Liriano in the first of 2 with the Twins. Here's tonight's starting 9:

1 Juan "One of Two Lefties" Pierre LF
10 Alexei "I'm Enjoying Being the #2 Hitter" Ramirez SS
32 Adam "The Other Lefty" Dunn DH
14 Paul "2 Homers Last Night" Konerko 1B
20 Carlos "Bat Me 3rd Again!" Quentin RF
51 Alex "I Had A Homer Last Night! YAY!" Rios CF
27 Ramon "I Can Handle Der Kommissar" Castro C
15 Gordon "I'm Starting to Hit!" Beckham 2B
22 Brent "Mark Teahen Had 2 K's Last Night...I Thought I Was The Starting 3B, Ozzie" Morel 3B

Edwin "Der Kommissar" Jackson tries to snap out of his funk for the White Sox in the first of 2 with their division rivals tonight.

Stoney sounds very gravelly. Mike Huff in for Hawk. Getting no hit through 5.

Where is Hawk? Is Joe West's crew in town and he is protesting? I would give this no-no a chance, but those 4 walks will probably be the doom of it. They make for too many early pitches and a tired late inning Liriano.

Yeah, but he's gonna try and get him to mow his lawn after the game.

86 pitches through 6 is a bad pace. He is going to have to have damn near 135-140 to finish this thing.

On the bright side, Morel has been throwing some leather tonite.

Yeah defense has been good tonight.

Figures when Edwin Jackson has a quality start the offense goes to sleep.

Only the Sox could be getting no hit by a guy with a 9 ERA

No hit through 7.

Valencia made a nice play there.

Making that only a 7 pitch inning was huge. He may actually have a shot at this.

At least there wasn't a Canadian invasion. Of course, Panther would've scared them all off anyway :?

I did not see him getting a 7 pitch inning and then following it up with an 8 pitch inning that included a walk. I'm sure Ozzie is going to have Pierre bunt next inning though.
