This team needs a complete rebuilding from the ground up. I will wait for a team that is building towards something, but will not for a team that has no vision or cannot face cold hard facts.

This team will be lucky to win 75 games this year.

You're waiting for the trade deadline? and Kenny's response would be "i am looking to add!"

Hopefully Jackson will have the same value he had last year...an MLB ready prospect.

I would bet Buehrle would be a fairly hot prospect as a veteran with playoff experience and no injury history.

Pierre would be a straight salary dump.

Suprisingly, I bet Ohman would get you a little something.

Danks would be the guy to move. You'd get the most value for him and he'll be looking for a big payday soon enough. If you can move Jackson, that's great. Any of the relievers too. As far as position players are concerned, I don't think there's going to be much of a market for any of them except Ramirez who is an absolute no and Quentin who I wouldn't trade either unless it was one hell of a deal.

Didn't we have trade deadline threads about this time last season.

Saying this season is like deja vu all over again is like deja vu all over again.

Yeah, I do think the fan today is too impatient. They season isn't over by any means. But there haven't been many teams, if any, that have won a division after chasing 11 games at this point. Maybe the Tigers did it back in the 80s.

JORR, curious why do you not want to trade CQ unless it is a helluva deal?

He's a guy that has had all kinds of nagging injuries. Maybe he'll be a guy who always has them. But we've seen what he can do when he's healthy. He's just not a guy I'd be quick to get rid of. To me, he's a guy you might want to build around. He should be in his prime right now. If he plays well enough that he has trade value, I'd probably keep him. Unless you could get a really nice return.

I guess I view him as a guy who is never going to be anymore than he already has been and that is an guy who cannot stay healthy. He will have glimpses of something really good, but it never stays around. So I would think if you can get anything for him, you do it.

That could be right. I wouldn't want to see him slugging 35 homers for someone else. Maybe he won't be able to stay healthy, true.

Yup! Remember. Danks did not sign the deal the Sox offered and Floyd took.

Danks has GREAT Arbitration stats. However, I dont think Jerry has any issue with paying pitchers anything they get in Arbitration, because they are 1 year deals.

How much would you get for Buerhle, if there is a chance this is it for him, I know Mac brought it up before the season.

If it keeps going ugly and fans don't start showing up, it could be a fire sale.

Maybe you can get a pitcher and a position player who are both a couple years away.

He has an approx 15M salary kicker if traded. Severely limits his trade value.

I agree. If you can get some prime prospects or a quality MLB player in return, move his ass. That would shake up the team too.

Good idea. Trade a guy not three years into his career.

But one thing Kenny Williams is very good at is determining whether these young players are good or busts and getting something for them if its the latter.

I am not ready to give up on Beckham yet, but if a team comes calling with a good offer you have to give it some serious consideration.

The Sox wouldn't even get a bag of balls for AJ.

Everyday catchers in this league are at a premium. John Buck got a megadeal from the Marlins, so if there is a contender that is weak at catcher you could see AJ shipped out for a couple of prospects.
