So much here for him to post about; a shot at Jerry R, a jab at Brooks Boyer, but nothing from him!

If you thought that some of the Sox promotions were lame, feast your eyes on this:

During Tuesday's game against the White Sox, the Angels will attempt to set a record for the largest gathering of people wearing costume masks. Fans will be handed Angel-themed wrestling masks as they enter Anaheim Stadium

I think this is a new gimmick the Angels are doing. I was watching a game the other day and they set a world record for most people wearing a snuggy blanket. It's a good idea and I think it's kind of funny.

That Soxanoia always creeps in.

I don't know the Angels fan base, but if it is a large % hispanic and/or kids appealing to the WWE/F crowd might be a great idea? Maybe a wrestling match before the game?

I know it's hard to match Weather Day, African American Frat Night, The 60th anniversary of the debut of Minnie Minoso and of course MULLET NIGHT.

"Dude check out my mullet"
"Nicccce"
"Yeah I got this T shirt for it at Mullet night at the cell"

Luche Libre is the best. Great promotion.

So Gloop, Keyzer, Boyd agree this was a good promotion and is not in the class of Weather Day?

I would even say the Sox might want to steal this idea and then add my idea of a wrestling match?

Not sure how well the WW? even draws these days? 7,000? 15,000? but could be a great idea.

The Sox "promotional" schedule has always been bad. They games they call promotional nights are mainly just reduced price upper deck tickets for a certain demographic. The Cubs do a Polish-American night and give away Cubs hats with the flag on the side. The Sox do it and have some group singing by a side gate for 15 minutes before the first pitch.
