Does this series begin to bring the Tribe back to earth? Hopefully Tonight: Justin Masterson (5-1, 2.73 ERA, Last 3: 0-1, 3.66 ERA) vs Jake Peavy (0-0, 6.00 ERA, 2nd Start of the year) Tomorrow: Fausto Carmona (3-3, 3.94 ERA, Last 3: 1-0, 1.99 ERA) vs Phil "Hold the H"umber (3-3, 3.18 ERA, Last 3: 1-1, 3.15 ERA) A split is definitely possible, remember, they lit up Carmona on opening day. |

What's up with all these 2 game series? Seems like there is way more of these this year than other years. |

I want to see Dallas starting again. Masterson has been really good against righties. |

For the record, the reason why the Indians are starting Justin Masterson tonight & Fausto Carmona tomorrow night vs. the White Sox has more to do with Cleveland getting rained out in back-to-back games vs. the Mariners last weekend at (Not So) Progressive Field more than anything else. The Tribe doesn't have CF Grady Sizemore for this series, on the disabled list yet again due to a bruised knee, but they put the Royals in their place out in Kansas City. |

The lineup is in, and you'll notice three changes in tonight's lineup vs. the Indians' Justin Masterson and the return of one that many White Sox fans have seen enough of. 1 Juan "Ozzie Still Believes in Me" Pierre LF 11 Omar "Alexei Needs a Breather" Vizquel SS 32 Adam "The Strikeout Machine" Dunn DH 14 Paul "At Least I Didn't Strike Out" Konerko 1B 20 Carlos "2 Walks" Quentin RF 12 A.J. "A Walk, A Strikeout and a Run" Pierzynski C 18 Brent "Getting Another Chance" Lillibridge CF 45 Dallas "I Think That's the Bulls' Opponent in the NBA Finals" McPherson 3B 15 Gordon "Scoring the Winning Run Last Night!" Beckham 2B Jake "6 Innings, 6.00 ERA" Peavy gets the start for the Sox in the first of two vs. the first place Indians in front of a lot of empty seats tonight. I wonder why... |

Ozzie's getting the lefties in the lineup against Masterson. I'll try to bring home a winner. |

When Peavy blows out his arm in his next 3 starts, they can look to this game. Can't wait for Bernsie to tell the world this tomorrow. |

It's very rare to see a classic pitchers' duel in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball, especially in an era where pitch counts & specialization have made the complete game all but obsolete. Both Jake Peavy & Justin Masterson pitched well enough to win, but Jake simply pitched the kind of game the White Sox were hoping for when they made the deal with the Padres in the first place. The only shame of last night's 1-0 White Sox winner was the lack of actual bodies in the seats... |

He absolutely dominated, SHARKY. He's a difference maker. Game one in a huge series against the first place team and he won it by himself. Now Gavin needs to pick up the baton tonight and complete the two game sweep. |

He's one of a handful of veterans who I want to see out of here ASAP if he continues to stink up the joint. |

The lineup is already in for tonight's finale vs. the Indians' Fausto Carmona. I don't know about you, but this lineup sucks! 1 Juan "How Much Longer?" Pierre LF 10 Alexei "Can We Shift Him to Second?" Ramirez SS 32 Adam "Another Strikeout!" Dunn DH 14 Paul "0 for 3 with a K" Konerko 1B 20 Carlos "Soon to be Traded" Quentin RF 12 A.J. "Can't Throw Anyone Out" Pierzynski C 51 Alex "How Much Are We Paying This Bum Hitting .201?" Rios CF 45 Dallas "Why is Brent Morel Still Here?" McPherson 3B 11 Omar "A Contender Wants You" Vizquel 2B Gavin "Maddeningly Inconsistent" Floyd takes the mound in the finale of two tonight in front of a lot of empty seats. |
