Major League Baseball is trying to take them over. The current owner's ex-wife wants the team sold. What does any of this mean? The team is in shambles. Also, their fans are seemingly crazier than the Ligues. Tonight: Ted Lilly (3-4, 4.83 ERA) vs Phil Humber (3-3, 3.18 ERA) Tomorrow: Jon Garland (1-3, 3.55 ERA) vs Mark Buehrle (3-3, 4.07 ERA) Sunday: Hiroki Kuroda (5-3, 2.80 ERA) vs Edwin Jackson (3-5, 4.53 ERA) Should be a good weekend. Definitely a winnable series. |

This is a great weekend for a first base coach attack. |

It should be no less than 2 wins. I'm anticipating a sweep to start the interleague off right. |

Yeah, the latest in the Dodgers' off-field soap opera is Jamie McCourt wanting "Commissioner" Allan H. Selig to force the team to be sold. This as Frank McCourt is still thinking about suing Selig and MLB claiming that the Dodgers' finances are more solid than what baseball thinks. MLB has taken over the day-to-day operation of the Dodgers' franchise while Frank & Jamie continue to be at each other's throats. That being said, I do feel sorry to a certain extent for first-year manager Don Mattingly and those players who seem to be caught right smack in the middle of the whole ownership and McCourt divorce saga. |

The lineup is in for tonight's first of 3 with the Dodgers and lefty Ted Lilly. Ozzie's lineup is right-handed heavy as you will soon see below... 1 Juan "Ozzie Still Has Confidence in Me Leading Off" Pierre LF 10 Alexei "2 Hits, 2 Runs Scored" Ramirez SS 32 Adam "I Thought I Was Paid to Hit Homers" Dunn DH 14 Paul "A Hit & Run Scored" Konerko 1B 20 Carlos "Homer #9 w/Paulie on Base!" Quentin RF 51 Alex "My BA's now .203! Whoo-hoo!" Rios CF 27 Ramon "Phil Who?" Castro C 15 Gordon "Ozzie Wants Me To Make Contact" Beckham 2B 22 Brent "I Thought I Was This Team's Third Baseman, Ozzie!" Morel 3B Phil "I Should Be Better Than 3-3" Humber gets the nod for Ozzie's White Sox in their first taste of Interleague play this season. |

I love it. Interleague play is when the Sox jump back into contention. |

2 Ducks on the pond with 1 out. Hawk must have ended his silence due to his raging stiffy. |

Yeah, but this year's baseball schadenfreude is like fucking that marginally good looking chick that never says no. Sure, she's a sport and keeps the change, but you end up looking for more and the Cubs are still fucking ugly and they spit. |

Tough loss. Hard to blame Santos too much because ya knew he was gonna blow one eventually. I blame the offense for not hangin more runs on shitfuck Lilly when they had him on the ropes. Just puts a little more pressure on Edwin and Buehrle to win the series. |

Gordon was playing up the middle and had to run 75 ft to cover first. Dunn should have gone backto the bag and let Buehrle field the bunt. God he's brutal at first. |

Buehrle picks up his 24th interleague victory. It's unbelievable how he just carves up these national league teams. |

I lol'ed when Rios was late on Lilly's fastball. I have no clue how they didn't hit him harder, his stuff wasn't good and he wasn't mixing his pitches well. For today's game: thanks Jon! Dunn should just be benched. 4 at bats today, 4 strikeouts. Austin Jackson actually leads Dunn in strikeouts prior to this game, I don't know how that is possible but whatever. His (Dunn's) swing looks slow and he isn't taking as many pitches as he did to start off the season, I don't really see how his focus will improve by screwing up at 1st base. |

That's why I can't hang that loss on Santos. That game should have been about 7-2 and the homerun by the .090 hitter would have been meaningless. The Sox got all those hits against Lilly early and they couldn't knock him out of the box. He took a deep breath and came back looking like Koufax for the next several innings. |

This game is actually televised but I refuse to watch and have to listen to Hawk when they are winning. The Reds broadcast is far far more tolerable and they are getting destroyed. |
