Arlington, TX...Hello

It feels like we just saw this team. Oh well

Tonight: John Danks (0-6, 4.32 ERA) vs Alexi Ogando (4-0, 2.13 ERA)

Tomorrow: Jake Peavy (1-0, 2.40 ERA) vs Derek Holland (3-1, 4.37 ERA)

Wednesday: Gavin Floyd (5-3, 3.88 ERA) vs CJ Wilson (4-3, 3.42 ERA)

Alexi Ogando is the only guy in the series that the Sox have not seen before. You know what that usually means. He was an effective reliever last season going 4-1 with a 1.30 ERA in 44 appearances spread over 41 2/3 innings. This is is first year in the big league rotation. He had a fairly high WHIP as a reliever, but that has gone down this year. Not much of a strikeout guy, 6.6k/9 on the year so far, and he appears to have decent control, only 2 BB/9.

Maybe Danks can finally get his first win.

Sox win 2 of 3.

This is going to be a tough roadtrip. 5-5 would be great, 6-4 (or better) would be awesome.

They get thru this trip well off, and June is the time to make hay. Between June 5 and the AS break, the Sox only have 12 road games and 3 of those are at Wrigley.

This is the third White Sox road trip of at least 3 cities so far this season! That's an absolute joke in my opinion. First, the Sox traveled to Tampa Bay, Detroit and New York last month. No sooner do Ozzie's guys have a week's worth of home games, their second trip took them to Seattle, Anaheim & Oakland. Now, they head to Texas, Toronto & Boston, and I think this trip will go a long way towards determining whether the Sox are buyers or sellers at the MLB Trade Deadline. They start the night 9 games back of the Indians in the A.L. Central, despite taking 2 out of 3 from a really bad Dodgers' team over the weekend.

The lineup is in for the first of 3 with the Rangers in Arlington, TX. These are the guys that'll deal with Rangers' righty Alexi "Who the Hell is He?" Ogando:

1 Juan "3 Hits, 2 Runs" Pierre LF
10 Alexei "A.L. Player of the Week" Ramirez SS
32 Adam "Another Strikeout, But 3 Walks & an RBI Single" Dunn DH
14 Paul "Have Someone Else DH" Konerko 1B
20 Carlos "I'm Back!" Quentin RF
12 A.J. "I Homered, But Can't Throw Anyone Out" Pierzynski C
51 Alex "The Only One To Hit vs. Ogando" Rios CF
45 Dallas "Who is Brent Morel?" McPherson 3B
15 Gordon "No Errors Yet" Beckham 2B

50 John "When Will I Win a Game Again?" Danks gets the ball from Ozzie in the first of 3 vs. the defending American League Champions at the Ballpark in Arlington.

It's not like they walked to Oakland. Who cares.

Walt, why do you take joy in the struggles of the teams you seem to cheer for?

Okay asswipe here you go! I don't need a fuckhead like Bernstein,Mac, Dave Van Dyke, Farve Fan or anyone else to tell me what I see. Adam Dunn blows ..no ifs ands or buts about it. The Bulls need more than Rose to win, and the best defense is getting it's hat handed to it...and believe it or not coach Thibs is getting out coached.I thought Noah was a piece of crap...and then thought he wasn't so bad my first thought was spot on. Boozer can't even make a fuckin layup and on defense he and Korver suck.Danks being 0-7 gives you ZERO quality starts..win a fucking game. Being 58 and only witnessing 2 Hawks,2 Bears, 6 Bulls (God bless MJ) and 1 White Sox I have heard enough of the Blah, Blah, Blah!

Some fans never get to see that many titles in their life.

11 titles in 58 years and you're complaining?
Thats not too bad man really. Especially since most of them you were old enough to appreciate. I really don't remember the first Bulls 3 peat and I was only 2 when the Bears won in '85

Good god Micheal Young can flat out hit. That guy's a machine.

Stoney just said they had a deal worked out for him this off season but the other team called it off at the last second. Interesting.

This Ogando bastard is pretty nasty but he's left some pitches over the plate and they've done nothing with them. Better do something quick because it doesn't get any easier with this Rangers bullpen.

Pierre lf
Ramirez ss
Quentin rf
Konerko 1b
Dunn dh
Rios cf
Pierzynski c
Beckham 2b
Morel 3b

Peavy p

It only took till May 24 and an 0-30 against lefties for Ozzie to finally move Dunn out of the 3-hole. Sheesh.

Oh Yeah and it's Jake Peavy night. 8)

Yeah Dunn has not been good, but Quentin is now hitting under .260 as well. He's been awful the last 6 weeks or so outside of a couple of games.
