Not sure who wanted to tell me Cabrerra was not the best pure hitter in baseball? Does this weekend change your mind?

Not only the stats, but the HR he hit Saturday was a line drive oppo HR, of which is what I pointed out, he and Braun are the only two guys I see with intentional power to any field they want. Even Pujols, for all his greatness I am not sure can do what these guys can do.

And ya know it is correct because my guy Frank C agrees with me!

He and Pujols are Best RH hitters since FRank. Both might end up a better hitters by retirement.

Cabrera reminds me of a young Gary Shefield. Pujols is the man and probably the besy ever. He stays healthy and does it every year. His numbers dont lie.

Pujols is awesome, but I still think Cabrerra can do more, such as taking bad outside pitches to RF or RF Homers.

In terms of pure hitting, Cabrera reminds me of young Manny...great plate coverage, great vision, and the ability to hit really good placed pitches.

Something Cabrera does of late is if he's in a situation where the opposing team would rather walk him than give him anything to hit but they aren't outright IBB'ng him:

he'll deliberately swing at the first couple junk pitches (usually pitches well off the plate) to put himself in an 0-2 hole--in an attempt at possoming (not possomizing) the pitcher into coming back toward the strike zone to try to hero-K Cabrera in a tight spot.

2003 watched him hit on the field before the Cub games. Remember Ozzie kinda showing off telling "The Kid" where to hit HR's.

Ozzie would say Right Field and the kid (19 at the time) would hit a HR to RF.

It was pretty amazing watching him take crappy outside pitches over the wall.
