I'm taking my wife to the Sox game on Saturday and was looking at stub hub prices. At what point would be the best time to purchase tickets?

Never.

Use Craigslist. Buy them a day before or on gameday from someone looking to unload them on the cheap. StubHub fees are rediculous.

StubHub fees are not ridiculous. By them a couple days before hand or the day of if you can wait that long. You'll get them on the cheap, you'll get them delivered by email, and its a lot easier. If its $5 cheaper...so what...you don't have to get raped in a random Target parking lot.

It's not rape if you life it.

Stub Hub is dependable.....with ZERO hassle....but if you want to save a few dollars and make your life difficult over a fucking ballgame, Craigslist is for you.

I use stubhub, way easier. The fees aren't that bad, they are cheaper than the fees you would pay buying directly from the team.

Agree

They have a last second option too. Never bought for a Sox game, but for Cubs games and Bulls games they have outlets near the facilitiies holding the tickets.

Never had a problem with StubHub even though they are a little more expensive with the fees and all. Im surprised that organizations havent tried to go after StubHub to stop season ticket holders from reselling at a higher price.

Go after them? MLB is partners with stub hub. THat's why you can get an MLB ticket emailed to you with the bar code. The NFL used to be partners but they started their own "Stubhub" type site a couple of years ago. You can't get NFL tickets emailed through Stubhub. Not sure about the NBA.
