*Why waste space with an extra thread about these two sack of shit teams.

I have no idea what's going to happen, all I know is that they're still playing for the Underground Oil Well Explosion Trophy, so there's that.

HOOTERVILLE!!!

I honestly have no interest in the series outside of normal interest for the Sox.

Sox need 2 of 3.

I'm getting close to loathing the Cubs as much as I loathe the White Sox. I might not watch a single inning.

That may be the healthiest thing.

On Saturday I saw a lady at the Jewels by me with a Sox logo tattooed on the back of her neck........

Don't lie. That wasn't her neck...

The only matchup that really favors the Cubs is today's. Garza's career ERA vs the Sox is over 6. Junk ballers like Davis can tend to give the Sox trouble, but there is no reason for the Sox to not beat him up with the offense they have.

If this team really is going to get back into the race, they need to get hot and fast. I'm not talking about 12 wins in a row, but with 19 games left until the AS break, they need to win 14 or 15 of those.

Swear to god. At first I thought it was yet another chick with some type of Chinese writing tattooed on her neck. I looked again and it was:

Thing is, I already knew she was a Sox fan. She was buying a 12 pack of Busch and a bulk package of hot pockets.

Maybe she was a Jim Gaffigan fan.

Why would you drive all the way into Joliet just to shop at the Jewels?

Another way I already knew she was a Sox fan without seeing the tattoo on the back of her neck?

As a Cubs fan, I was wearing a Cubs shirt and she was copying everything I was doing.

I didn't realize that Zambrano was doing this Mac lunch thing the same day he was pitching.

Pencil in an "L" for the Sox tonight with shit-ass pitching tonight. The Sox should win the next two.

24-16 since May 7 (second best in the AL), but the asshole Twins have won 7 straight.

BTW, Ozzie can hop a plane to Florida whenever he wants.

You say that and Floyd will probably end up pitching a 3 hit shutout just to spite you. :D

Zambrano has been no given against the Sox in his career. 5-4, 4.97 ERA, and he's 0-1 with a 36 ERA in his last 3 starts against the team. He has the kind of stuff that they can usually hit.

I think tonight is going to be a fairly high scoring game.

In 2 starts, Gavin has done great in his career vs the Coob. Last year (or maybe 2009), he was part of that double no-hitter that he and Lilly had going and ended up losing the game 1-0.

That was last year's Sunday night game at "The Shrine". If I remember correctly, Pinella was upset after that because Ozzie had Pierre bunt to lead off the 9th.

Also, this series should be on a weekend.

Frank, both White Sox/Cubs' series are normally on a weekend, but a certain team called the Yankees visiting Wrigley Field for only the second time in the history of Interleague Play prompted MLB's national TV partners FOX Sports & ESPN to alter such plans. Why FOX is airing the Nationals/Sox this Saturday afternoon is a mystery in itself...

Simple, Adam Dunn faces his former team.

Actually, I thought that was because Stephen Strasburg was supposed to start...Wait a minute. Strasburg didn't start that game a year ago in Washington. Nevermind!

With the exception of DeWitt hitting 3rd I actually like this lineup just fine. DJ LeMahieu is my new hero.
