with the marlins manager resigning and 80 year old Jack Mc Keon taking the position, the Marlins are obviously waiting for someone.

The Sox picked up Ozzie's option for next year so he would have to be fired unless that Ozzie for Logan Morrison deal is back on the table then I'll gladly pack his bags and drive him to the airport.

Both teams denied it was Stanton. Maybe it was Logan Morrison. The Marlins are pissed at him for his social media adventures. I don't know if the Sox could handle an employee that uses social media to curse and talk about scandalous things.

That's what I was thinking.

Gordon Beckham's NOT going anywhere...I fully expect #15 to be at second base tonight vs. "Big Z" and the Cubs and for quite sometime to come, Spanky. As for Ozzie's future, that's a different story. The Miami Marlins (that will be their team name) are moving into a new ballpark next year, complete with a retractable roof. Make no mistake about it. Ozzie enjoys the NL style of baseball with double switches and no designated hitter. I think the Marlins want to make a big time splash and while another former Marlin in Jeff Conine may be another name to eventually take over as manager down there, Ozzie could mean quite a ticket bump if he decides to leave the Southside. Needless to say, the Marlins need all the box office help they can get.

SHARK, how low would Beckham have to hit at the plate for you to consider sending him down for a while?

He would have to get below the Rios- Dunn line.

Gordon Beckham's not going anywhere anytime soon...I cringe at the sight of Omar Vizquel, even though he had 2 hits yesterday, starting everyday at 44 years old, and Brent Lillibridge's been getting more & more time in the outfield instead of second base. Beckham's made only 1 error this season at second, and he's far and away superior with the glove than the Cubs' overhyped, overrated Starlin Castro. There...I said it!

While Starlin's better than Gordon at the plate, Castro is a defensive disaster waiting to happen at shortstop and I heard The SCORE's David Schuster mention this guest hosting "SCORE Overnight" for Les Grobstein one day last week after a Cubs' win over the Brewers. Castro may not be long for SS on the North side considering the fact he's committing errors at a disturbing rate. Castro may end up at a position other than SS, such as second base just like Beckham, or possibly in the outfield, Schu told listeners. I'm not sure how realistic it is, but neither guy is as good as the scouts claim.

I would say that too. Imagine how good his glove would be against the Durham Bulls!

Get that weak shit out of here.

Dont even TRY to compare these two.

Saying Beckham is better defensively is like saying Oden sucks but he's a better shot blocker than Durant.

It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. By the way, if Ozzie goes to Miami, I hope he takes Juan Pierre, Mark Teahen & Omar Vizquel with him! He's become way too loyal to his veterans since winning this city's first World Series in our lifetime 6 years ago!
