That's right. It's time for the multi-annual shit down the legs series against the fucking Twins. I hope I'm wrong, but after yesterday's performance againt Bruce Chen (Bruce Fucking Chen!!!), I don't have a good feeling. Pitching matchups: Phil Humber (8-4) vs. Carl Pavano (5-6) today at 7:10 p.m.; Gavin Floyd (6-8) vs. Nick Blackburn (6-6) Friday at 7:10 p.m.; Mark Buehrle (6-5) vs. Brian Duensing (6-7) Saturday at 3:10 p.m.; Jake Peavy (4-2) vs. Scott Baker (7-5) Sunday at 1:10 p.m. Ugh |

The Twins (insert scary music) are 26-6 in the last 32 meetings vs. the White Sox. Despite a myriad of injuries, the Sox HAVE YET TO BEAT THE TWINS this season. |

I'm going to the game on Saturday and it is Buerlhe pitching. That always cuts down on your time available to drink. |

It's also the "MLB on FOX" game, Hank, come 3:10p Saturday afternoon. Not sure who's calling the game, but Bert Blyleven will NOT be part of the crew. Bert is away from the FOX Sports North crew this weekend as he gets ready for the Baseball Hall-of-Fame. Although it'll be blacked out locally, former Twins' manager Tom Kelly sits in with PBP Dick Bremer on the Minnesota broadcasts tonight, tomorrow & Sunday afternoon. |

The last time Carl Pavano pitched vs. the White Sox, he pitched a complete game at Target Field in a ballgame that went quick as a hiccup...Is this the ballgame where teams start figuring out Philip Humber and that he's not nearly as good as his record indicates? |

If anything, Humber has thrown a lot better than his 8-4 record indicates. Forget BITE, you've barely even had a nibble as of late. |

Frank, these are the Twins that the White Sox have yet to beat ONCE this season...Frankly speaking, no pun intended, I think Phil Humber gets figured out in the second half of the season. I hope I'm wrong... |

That is to be expected, is it not, given the White Sox myriad of injuries? |

SHARK, The Sox not beating the Twins really has nothing to do with Humber's overall success this season. And these statements; SHARK wrote: Philip Humber and that he's not nearly as good as his record indicates? SHARK wrote: I think Phil Humber gets figured out in the second half of the season. Are completely different. You can think that Humber is gonna have a let down, thats fine if you believe that. But you cannot say that up until now he has not been as good as his record indicates. Look at his ERA and WHIP. Those numbers look like they would belong to a pitcher that is a lot better than 8-4. Nary a nibble.... |

If I can get this thread back on track, one thing you will notice tonight is the sight of Joe Mauer playing first base for the Twins. It'll be Mauer's first of what could be many starts at first base for that team. |
