Sox in Cleveland, home of one of those offensive Native American nicknamed teams. The Sox are .500 since the break, taking a series in Detroit and then shitting the bed against Kansas City. The Indians are seemingly the only team in the Central that the Sox can actually beat. Need to take 2 of 3.

Burning questions: Will someone get fired? Will someone get killed? Will Ozzie survive the weekend without his head exploding? Can Humber get his head out of his ass, or has the rest of the league caught up to him? All this and Hawk Harrelson too...same Eastern Zone Start Time...SHARK can tell us what channel later.

Gavin Floyd (7-9) vs. Carlos Carrasco (8-7) Friday at 6:05 p.m.; Edwin Jackson (6-7) vs. David Huff (1-0) Saturday at 6:05 p.m.; Phil Humber (8-6) vs. Justin Masterson (8-6) Sunday at 12:05 p.m.

Tempered expectations at this point.

That's not going to happen, unless they can win 3 games, all 1-0.

Comcast SportsNet has the games tonight & at 12:05p Sunday, while the WGNs, CW9 & WGN America, have the 6:05p game tomorrow from (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland.

That being said, there appears to be a platoon situation developing at third base for the White Sox. With Carlos Carrasco & Justin Masterson starting the Friday & Sunday games, I fully expect the defensive liability that is Mark Teahen to be starting at third in those games. Brent Morel likely gets the nod with David Huff(?) starting the game tomorrow night. Truth be told, neither Teahen nor Morel are hitting a lick at the "hot corner" and there's a veteran third baseman currently looking for work with Wilson Betemit getting dealt from the Royals to the Tigers. Might the Sox take a flyer on Brandon Inge?

No to Inge. There are enough guys in this lineup that strikeout a lot.

Inge has been atrocious since he got that extension before last year. He's said to have accepted a MilB assignment, has stated he would like to play his whole career in Detroit, and there is 0% chance the Tigers would send him to a division rival.

For all I know, Frank, Inge likely gets claimed. I wish Ozzie would honestly say that third base is now a platoon. I think the idea is for Brent Morel to become the full-time third baseman, but Mark Teahen's earning a lot of money and the White Sox need all the offense they can get. Truth be told, besides not being all that good defensively, Teahen's bat has been sluggish since Ozzie started to play #23 a little more lately.

Then with all due respect, you don't know much SHARK. Inge has been awful this year and holds the Tigers franchise record for most strikeouts.

I mean, he would fit right in with the Sox offense, but he would not help things.

Thanks for educating me on Brandon Inge, Frank. For all I know, Inge will end up elsewhere. Wouldn't it be something if he ends up going to another team and actually contributes to a contender?

SHARK, you do a fine job keeping up on media events and the silly season, but when it comes to sports thoughts, some of the stuff you come up with is God-awful.

Two things...The White Sox need to take 2 out of 3 vs. an Indians' team they've actually done very well against. Also, is this the weekend Adam Dunn gets off the deck with that short porch in right field or will he continue to swing, miss and keep Ranger working overtime on the "Xfinity Feedback Zone Postgame?"

Hopefully Ozzie loses his fucking mind this weekend and quits.

Jason Kipnis (Glenbrook North) is making his major league debut. He's going to be a good one.

Not really. Outside of Dunn, nobody strikes out very much. In fact I think Pierre and AJ may be the two toughest guys to strike out in the league.

The Sox have struck out the 2nd fewest times in all of baseball which is astounding considering Adam Dunn is ready to break the land speed strike out record. That said I want absolutely no part of Brandon Inge.

Should be 1-0 if Pierre had read the fly ball from Konerko right and tagged up. He would've scored on Dunn's fly out.

And of course they don't score after getting the first two men on base.

Once again, a total Dunn fail.
Oh and Konerko's ball "hit hard!"

Ok Hawk.

Walt I don't mean its only JP's fault.

That just bothered me that he didn't tag.

Obviously Konerko, Dunn, Quentin not doing anything fucks your team.
