Tigers are in town. Sox are coming off a 5-3 road trip. This division still blows. A sweep would put the Sox 1 game over .500. I have a feeling that they take 2 of 3. I really wish someone other than Peavy was facing Verlander on Tuesday Night...especially after the way the Sox knocked Verlander around in Detroit. While I feel good that Mark Buehrle's starting the most important week of White Sox baseball of the entire season tonight, I don't have a good feeling about tonight's no-name opponent Duane Below (pronounced Bel-low). Usually, when the Sox face pitchers they've never faced before, that's usually a bad omen. It'll be a few hours before the lineup is revealed, but I've got to think Ozzie stacks the lineup with right-handed hitters. I think chances are better than even money that Brent Lillibridge plays right field, Brent Morel at third base & Gordon Beckham returns to second base after yesterday's breather to accommodate "Old Man" Omar Vizquel in the finale of the rain-shortened weekend series in Cleveland. Could Tyler Flowers get the nod behind the plate in only his second career start? We'll find out soon enough... |
