Are we really happy we beat a AA Pitcher and it took a Grand Slam in the 9th to beat the Orioles?

I know we can only play who is on the schedule but these last 2 wins are weak and we all know it!

ERA more than 1 Full point higher than last year and there is the problem, we have not shut down anyone. we have out hit some, but not shutting down anyone.

This is the 2000 team all over that Kenny said he hated so much?

Overall, I think your point is correct - the pitching flat out stinks...Today, I think was one of those days where no lead was safe, but they'd better get at least 3 of their starters into some sort of consistentcy or things aren't going to end well for the White Sox this season.

No Bearboy, The difference between now and 2000 is we KNOW what this pitching staff CAN do. They did it in the most pressured situations. I think they can again. It scares me whats going on now but if squerrly Buehlre can get his shit together, we should be fine. He's the unofficial leader of that staff. I have faith. Whats the worst thing that can happen? We have to win two World Series in three years? I'll take it. I'm a dreamer that way.

This is the very definition of "winning ugly." For the past few weeks, the Sox have had to do some very odd things to win ballgames. A win is a win, but I'm not off the ledge yet.

Hey, the Twins have had two pretty loses in a row. You take wins any way you can. We got back two of the 3 games the Twins gained on us when they swept us. I'll take it.

but who beat them? you're saying that with as many games with the tigers that the sox have left, there's no way we can catch up? you've already conceded the division? you've come a long way my friend.

I'm not ready to concede the division, but with that series with Detroit coming up after the Yankees series, they'd better by that point have the lead down to 5 or 6 games....With 10 left, the White Sox do need 7 out of 10 vs. the Tigers, and you have to think that the Tigers, at some point, will lose a few games, and maybe even have a bad streak.

No, I'm not conceding the division. I think with the Twins playing the Tigers its a win situation no matter who wins. We are guarenteed to pick up a game no matter what if we win. Once again, I don't think there is that much of a difference in winning the Wild card. We can't play the Tigers in the first round anyway. Don't give me this "Look who the Twins are playing". When the year is over everybody in the division has the same shedule.

Bearboy, on Friday the Sox faced Bedard, who is one of the hotest pitchers in the game. The only way you win those types of games is to somehow scratch out a victory. The Sox beat a reliever who had saved something like 25 of 26 this year.

Saturday they pounded out a win.

Sunday sucked.

I am not thrilled with 2 out of 3 but that is exactly what the Sox must do...win series, get an occasional sweep.
