His big gambles have not paid off and the franchise is now stuck with these liabilites and the Sox are basically fucked. Given Rick Hahn's status as a GM in waiting, should Reinsdorf "promote" KW to team President as has been speculated or should these two just "amicably part ways"?

The Sox have a shit minor league system and a bloated payroll with Dunn, Rios and even Peavy's 18M next year and they face expensive decisions on Buehrle and Danks.

In short and IMO, it seems KW has done a very poor job of constructing this organization and roster and should be shit canned.

Am I wrong?

He should be fired the second the season ends. His ego has ruined this team for years to come.

In a REAL organization, Williams should be fired...gone.
In Weird Jerry Reinsdoucheworld, Weird Jerry seems to have a hand in EVERYTHING that happens in the organization.
Williams is a one trick WIN NOW genius, a rah rah guy, with his annual July threats of big trades that the players have to laugh at by now, but since he can't fire the Batting Coach, you start seeing Weird Jerry's fingerprints everywhere.
You have to start to get the feeling that Weird Jerry had the final say on claiming Rios and trading for Peavy....Williams stated that after a meeting with Weird Jerry the Sox were "ALL IN" and Williams signed Dunn.
If Weird Jerry has contributed to the disaster the Sox have become by "assisting" the General Manager, maybe it is the right thing to do to kick Williams into some bogus Vice President job for a few years.
