This double header in the biggest thing to happen in September in Cleveland since the fans threw bottles and trash at the refs for blowing a call and causing the Browns to lose. |

I was watching MLB Network's "Quick Pitch" this morning and noticed a lot of empty seats for a Mariners/Indians' game yesterday at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland. It's a far cry from earlier in the summer where fans actually returned to that ballpark for the first time in a long time. |

SHARK wrote: (Not So) Progressive Field This joke doesn't make a great deal of sense, especially considering that Jacobs Field eschewed a lot of neo-retro trappings in its architecture, and alongside the neo-retro Camden Yards it's considered the vanguard of the modern stadium experience, thus making it--gasp!--progressive. But go ahead and keep making it every time the Cleveland Indians are mentioned. |

But go ahead and keep making it every time the Cleveland Indians are mentioned. I call it (Not So) Progressive Field for a reason, CH. It has little to do with the fact that Ohio-based Progressive Insurance took over naming rights of the ballpark originally called Jacobs Field a couple years ago. It's called (Not So) Progressive Field because of the team that plays in it. |

SHARK wrote: It's called (Not So) Progressive Field because of the team that plays in it. Are you saying that the Indians are a bunch of really old guys who are totally stuck in their ways, and not willing to progress into modern society? Because if not, the name doesn't make any sense. |

This was a dynomite exchange on all fronts. Good thing you pointed that non-joke out, Curious Hair. |
