Soon after Ozzie Guillen tweeted that he had arrived in Miami, the Chicago White Sox confirmed Tuesday that pitching coach Don Cooper will manage the final two games of the 2011 season, and that he and first base coach Harold Baines have agreed to multiyear contract extensions. This reaks of hiring from the inside for a manager. |

Cooper is about as good as you will get for a pitching coach. Harold's job could be done by just about anyone. I think it reaks of a first time manager (which is par for JR) or it could just be Frank's BO. |
