I think Frank uses the eye-roll emoticon more than everyone else on the board put together.

RFDC is a frequent advocate of the eye roll.

That's because I probably reply directly to bigfan more than everyone else on the board combined. Its very fitting for the contest of most of his posts.

Yeah, I try to avoid using that. It has a certain arrogance. Im not commenting on Frank, just my thought on it.

If you eye roll more than once a day, what are you doing conversing with these idiots?

I think if there is any post of his deserving of an eye roll, its this one.

The Cubs sign one of (if not the) best GM out there, introduce him less than an hour ago, and what does bigfan do? Starts a thread in the Sox section then leaves.

How is this, Sell it to Jerry! He has the money, let him place a market value on the park.

it was suppossed to be a great asset for the state of Illinois. All the land around there that he has bought over the years with state money.

So if it is all such a great deal, then sell away. The state can use the money. It's been a loser of a deal since it was built, maybe we got something back now?

Emanuel replaces 3 members of agency that operates U.S. Cellular Field
By Jared S. Hopkins Tribune reporter

11:17 a.m. CST, November 18, 2011
Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced today that he has replaced three board members at the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, the agency that owns and operates the stadium used by the Chicago White Sox.

Leaving the seven-member board that oversees U.S. Cellular Field are Peter Thompson, a nephew of former Mayor Richard Daley; Chicago attorney William Power; and banker Alvin Boutte, who recently lost his securities license after he provided bad advice to the state in a controversial college tuition program.

The authority was formed in the 1980s to build the White Sox a new stadium after owner Jerry Reinsdorf threatened to move the team to Florida. Then-Gov. Jim Thompson – who later served as chairman of the authority – was instrumental in working the floor of the General Assembly to see that lawmakers passed the legislation.

Emanuel said the appointments will reform and improve the agency and make it more accountable to the public. He said the three new appointees will not accept the perks that usually accompany board membership, including complimentary food and beverages during games, discounted ticket prices for special events and access to the suites for special events.

---the original 4 still get the perks then?

Peter Bynoe, had the suite next to Jerry R at Comsikular assigned day 1 for the "Board" of the ISFA.

I was aware they didn't pay for tickets, but was not aware that they didnt pay for food and drinks, which at the prices they charge for that stuff, was probably another $50,000 a year.

The whole thing was totally corrupt and they have yet to discuss all of the misuse of money involved in it.

Chicago White Sox to lower 2012 ticket prices

The White Sox have not yet made an official announcement about the decrease, but the team is expected to reduce season tickets by 2 to 16 percent, depending on seat locations, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

Price reductions will likely be passed on to individual tickets, as well. But premium lower box and club level seats at U.S. Cellular Field will remain the same.

Wow. I am dead shocked

I wonder if hotdogs are gonna go up to $7 and beers are gonna go up to $9 a pop though

The White Sox were sixth in MLB attendance in 2011, right behind the Cubs, although average attendance at U.S. Cellular Field dropped to 24,705 from the 2010 average of 27,091.

This guy ( Patrick Dunne) is as almost as bad as Keyser Soze when it comes to facts

9th in MLB Chicago Cubs 3,017,966 total 37,258 average
20th in MLB Chicago White Sox 2,001,117 total 24,705 average
