The Winter Meetings approach. This is where Numbnuts Kenny Williams patches the White Sox together every season in his Win Now insanity!!!!
How has THAT been working out for us lately??????
How these idiots on 35th Street could have "misjudged" the market for Buerhle is mind boggling!

You will be happy when they don't sign Buehrle. Three years at 15 million per and a no trade clause for a .500 pitcher with a 4+ ERA is how I see this playing out

Have we gotten the report yet where Dunn has lost 25 pounds and has been taking batting practice every day and is stinging the ball?

Exactly what do the White Sox plan to do? I'm not being a smartass (for once). I'm asking Sox fans. I think right now they may have more "bad money" tied up than the Cubs.

I see the entire scenario as further proof of the incompetence of Reinsdouche lackey, Williams.
You can bet Williams HAS NO ONE to replace Buerhle's 200 innings per season.

The Peavy bad money offsets Zambrano making the Sox bad money the worst. The Cubs can at least east 40M of Soriano and trade him unlike Rios/Dunn who are untradeable unless 90% of those contracts get eaten.

"Kenny" has buried the Sox in shit paper and they are fucked in '12.

About 12 teams are expressing interest in Buerhle....Thank Goodness the White Sox are so deep in pitching.......Looking forward to the FANBOY posts the day Buerhle leaves proclaiming the future greatness of Chris Sale!!!!

Kenny, the brilliant architect of the last 3 seasons which have had the White Sox playing under .500 against the American League and within the always imposing A.L. Central Division, was quoted as saying when Fukudome turned out to be a bust for the Cubs that HE would never be in THAT situation contractually with players.

soriano is due 18 million per year for 4 more years...the cubs would probably have to eat 60 million of the 72 to move him.
dempster is due 14 million
big z is 18 million = 104 million dollars of bad

peavy is 17 million
rios is due 37 million = 98 million dollars of bad
dunn is 44 million

buerhle is going to get paid by a national league team and do pretty good...you do not want buerhle in the a.l. the next 3 or 4 years.

It's a nerdfest...people fighting over the old media guides that Les hadn't already taken from the booth at the end of the year.

I remember seeing a chris singleton bat. I figured I might buy it for $5. It was around $50. This was well after he was no longer on the Sox and before he was in the booth.

I did get a MLB quality jersey. It had no name or number which was fine with me as the price was good at $40. Anything with a name on it, including bullpen coaches, was $150 and up.

I sometimes see a guy with a '77 Rich Hinton jersey at Sox games. I figure he picked it up at one of those sales. It has to be one of one.

I'd be suprised if any of the people there are filing tax returns.

If you ever saw a guy on the concourse wearing a James Baldwin jersey....

But, it was over 10-12 years ago. That mitigates it somewhat, right?

People seem to be praising Dunn's committment to his craft this offseason.

The douche essential said he does some occasional hitting (some weeks five days other weeks none) and hasn't done conditioning. Are people really that desirous of him to be good that they will take anything beyond him sitting on a couch for 5 months as good news.

Things are going to turn worse on this guy fast.

Set the over under at 31.5, I'll take the over. I don't think he'll get 40, but 33-36. He's got something to prove this season.

So you guys think he couldn't hit because he was fat?

Interesting.

I thought it was because he was swinging at shit he couldn't hit.
