Looks like Kenny is trying to lockup young arms and rebuild everything else. He may even be unsure about it all. |

You can't be unsure of what your doing when the stakes are so high. Jerry's loyalty is only going to go so far before he gives Kenny a new position under some made up title, just so he doesn't have to fire him. He only took so much shit from John Paxson before he pushed him aside, how much is he going to take from Kenny? |

Colonel Angus wrote: He only took so much shit from John Paxson before he pushed him aside, how much is he going to take from Kenny? I don't think he pushed Paxson aside. Paxson put in Strawman Forman so he didn't have to deal with the press. Other than that, nothing changed. |

Lock up? or do you mean throw against a wall and see what sticks? you start trading for Class A guys who have no real MLB projected time, especially the 20 year old Class A guys, you are just grasping. Wait, my bad, this was all part of the plan, pick up Frasors option then trade him for these guys. |

It may not always look pretty or seem to make sense though. |

But to go out and just "wing it", shit I could do that. |

They're rebuilding and trying to retain their core of young arms. |

He's lying. It may not be Florida Marlins type of rebuilding but it's rebuilding. |

Is he missing the boat here that fans are OK with a team saying they are rebuilding. I think all that fans want is a plan and accomplishment of that plan. |

bigfan wrote: But why is he lying? Does he think such a claim will hurt his ticket sales? Is he missing the boat here that fans are OK with a team saying they are rebuilding. I think all that fans want is a plan and accomplishment of that plan. He's lying because he has to sell season tickets if he can. But I also think he honestly believes he can put a cheaper team out there and if they hang in there, Jerry may let him add some pieces to go for the division title. That isn't really outlandish. A specific plan would be nice but I'm not buying season tickets to see De Aza and Morel. I don't have to. That's what's different for the Sox. They don't have me over a barrel. I can walk away and come back when they get good and get a better seat if I want. You're a Cub season ticket guy. Don't you resent that they can do whatever they want knowing that if you don't take those tickets, someone else will- even when sales are probably weaker than they've been in the last twenty years? I'm sure you don't really want to buy tickets to see David DeJesus. But you have to buy them or you won't have them when Theo's plan comes together. And no Cub season ticket holder wants to miss the five consecutive World Series teams in 2015-2020. |

Whatever the Cubs do has NOTHING to do with the job performance of one Kenny Williams. Just look up his #1 draft selections and PRETEND this jackass has a clue. Gotta figure Ed Farmer or Steve Stone are neck and neck to replace Williams because they have the requisite broadcasting experience so important to Reinsdouche. |
