Heads should immediately start rolling if anyone in the Twins organization knew something was wrong with him and convinced him to pitch. Especially if he has to have some major ligament surgery. I know it helps the Sox but it is still a terrible thing for an organization to do to a guy just to try to win this year.

Didn't he have all the medical tests and nothing came up after he got shut down originally ?

How many times have we heard the Cubs say the same thing?

The Twins seem to actually know what they're doing though when it comes to running an organiazation so it would surprise me if they thought they were putting him at risk.

Obviously, whether all the tests were done or not, the Twins did mess this up, and now there are reports they he may need Tommy John surgery.

I think sometimes, this situation included, it was bound to happen. If they would have shut him down it would have happened next year. There pitching coach says he snaps off 45 sliders a game. He would have never learned not to throw so many unless this happened. That's just too high. Now he'll have to get the surgery and learn how to pitch without that sharp of stuff. Because he won't get it back all the way.

Did he see Wood's doc?

My thoughts exactly. I recommend sitting in a chair and whipping a towel.

Luckily for the Twins they have an even better prospect to take his place. They have a lot of question marks in their rotation. However they are highly regarded question marks. If Bonser and Garza are good the Twins should be in the hunt once again.
