Late night games in Seattle. Meh. Coming off a series that was expected against Baltimore. This should be another "gem". Fri: Chris Sale vs Hector Noesi Sat: Phil Humber vs Blake Beavan (by cracky) Sun: John Danks vs Kevin Millwood (really? he's still around!) Sox win 1 |

Sock are starting to emulate Seattle. They can't hit going on about 3-4 years now.. |

I've heard of Kevin Millwood, the Mariners' starter for Sunday afternoon, but the other 2 starters for the M's...Not so much. Also, if recent history means anything, the White Sox could be in trouble. The West Coast has given the Sox fits in recent years, and they've been terrible vs. pitchers they've never faced before. |

@ Boyd... Apologist wrote: Sock are starting to emulate Seattle. They can't hit going on about 3-4 years now.. Very true. It's difficult and frustrating every year watching a team built for offense that can't hit. I'm close to tuning them out already. Last year I waited till the end of May. This year it may be sooner. |

Speaking for myself, I certainly had no expectations. But generally summers are more enjoyable for me when my baseball team at least fools me into thinking they're in the race. That's why 2010 was so much fun. When they went on that huge winning streak in June and July, we knew eventually they were gonna blow it and the Twins would catch em, but it was still fun. Last year sucked because by May 1st, it was pretty much a wrap. I hate having to stop watching so soon. I'm just being selfish, that's all. |

If there is a silver lining, or I should say a black and silver lining, it's this. They avoid Felix Hernandez in this series. |

Now that my winter sports team is going to be eliminated from the playoffs tomorrow, my choices are to bury my head in the sand until football, or continue to watch bad baseball. I will keep watching bad baseball. I'm conditioned to the point that I almost don't need a feeling of them contending to actually enjoy it. Hell, I have tickets for 2 Sox games coming up, and I acquired Coobs/Red Sox tickets this morning from a co-worker. As Darko can atest from a conversation we had previously, I love being at ballparks, no matter the outcome. It's my happy place. It helps that I live 45 minutes from Miller Park now...chance to go watch a good team, too. |

You should go to Miller and throw Affliction shirts and syringes on the field. |

Apologist wrote: You should go to Miller and throw Affliction shirts and syringes on the field. See, now that's just not cool. I actually like the Brewers. When I was a kid, my dad and I either went to Sox games or Brewers games because they were easier to get on game day than Coobs tickets. |

Sox should win 2 out of 3, but I have no confidence they actually will. Would not be surprised if they got swept. |

How can you keep running Morel out there in the 2 hole? That is just stupid. |
