After sweeping the Mariners at Safeco Field in Seattle, the White Sox stay on the late shift tonight & tomorrow and play in the afternoon Wednesday before coming home. Unfortunately for the Sox, they play the next 3 in a ballpark that has been a house of horrors in recent years. That would be the ballpark Ed Farmer calls "Mount Davis", better known these days as Overstock.com Coliseum in Oakland, CA to face the A's in a three-game series. Jake Peavy starts the series tonight. He's 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA and he'll face journeyman "Where in the World is" Bartolo Colon in the first of three late tonight. Colon's 2-1 with a 2.63 ERA for the A's. As for the other starters, the A's have a couple of guys that needless to say, I've never heard of, and usually that's bad news for the guys in silver & black. Here are the other matchups: Tuesday 9:07p: CHW Gavin Floyd (1-2, 4.58 ERA) vs. OAK Tommy Milone (?) (2-1, 2.84 ERA) Wednesday 2:37p: CHW Chris Sale (2-1, 3.50 ERA) vs. OAK Jarrod Parker (?) (No Record, NO ERA-Season Debut) |

The lineup is in for the White Sox, and the Brent Morel experiment batting 2nd appears to have ended. Here's how the Sox line up this eve in Oakland: 30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) 10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) 32 Adam Dunn 1B (L) 14 Paul Konerko DH (R)* 12 A.J. Pierzynski C (L) 51 Alex Rios RF (R) 24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) 22 Brent Morel 3B (R) 15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) *Paul Konerko: Sore foot, unable to play the field, says the Trib's Mark Gonzales. |

Isn't there anyone else other than Morel to play 3rd? His bad play is mushrooming. |

They are Eduardo Escobar or Brent Lillibridge, and quite frankly, the next time Robin Ventura has both names out of the starting lineup, Escobar plays third & Lillibridge at second. My own opinion... |
