Traffic should be fun for this series. Nothing else going on in town right? Anyway.

Tomorrow: Humber vs. Shark
Saturday: Danks vs. Dempster
Sunday: Peavy vs. Maholm

Sox win Sunday.

Whatever.

I expect Vicedo and Alexei to have a big weekend. Dunn has awesome career numbers against the Cubs.

I think they score early and often today, get just enough off of Dempster to win....who knows about Sunday. I'll say Sox take at least 2 of 3.

Sox take two of three. The Cub bullpen blows.

The best way to get to a team's bullpen is to take some pitches. The Sox don't have a lot of guys who want to do that.

If he gets to 500 career homers, is Konerko a HOF player?

Wow, its really bothering you that LaHair is having a better year

Advanced Stats: Kerry Woods game was better and LaHair is having a better year than Konerko

Bryan LaHair's not on the All-Star ballot, guys. Two words...Write in.

Now back to the game...2-0 White Sox Bot 1st.

By the way, #15 Gordon Beckham...Atlanta, GA & #14 Paul Konerko...Providence, R.I.

Cub getting two serious breaks early. Gotta take advantage. Enjoy Dunn in the OF during inter league play.

C'mon Humber. Offense gives you 2 runs, you gotta go out there and shut them down right off. Quit pitching like Danks.

Adam Dunn in LF while Dayan Viciedo rides the bench instead of playing 3B in this Interleague series minus the DH...It's not going to work, Robin.

I'm not sure you can ridicule the playing of a defensively-challenged Donkey in the field, while simultaneously calling for the playing of Viciedo at 3B, and retain any credibility... pick a lane, Sharkboy!

This is my point entirely.

Also, Viciedo and Morel have both been terrible with the bat this year. Morel can at least work the count. Viciedo is going to try and "Soriano" the ball. At that point, I'll take the good glove in the field.

Sox need a bunting contest.

I understand how good Adam Dunn has been over the years at Wrigley with his bat, dating back to when he was in Cincinnati & Washington. His glove has always been an issue, whether at first base or in the outfield. This is not the best of situations in the NL park, and minus the DH in this series for the White Sox.

Viciedo's in the same boat, but the ONLY reason why I even suggested playing Dayan at third base is because of what Brent Morel's NOT doing at the plate. This was before Morel's back caused him to miss today's game, and quite possibly tomorrow night's "MLB on FOX" game as well. This problem with Morel digs even deeper than his offensive woes, and I'm starting to wonder if a DL stint is in Brent's immediate future.

If you want to hide a bat guy in the field, LF is usually where you do it. This is a tradition as old as baseball itself. At the same time, you want a guy who can barely cut it in left, to play third? And they are both under .200?

SHARK, we got the gist of your thoughts. It just looks silly to make both of those assertions simultaneously. If you want to type up multiple bad ideas for our perusal here, just do what BF and Frank do, and start multiple threads
