All Ohman needs is a manager to understand that he cannot face anyone but lefties, which is what he was brought here to do. Neither Ozzie nor Ventura seem to have reached that understanding. |

Gets consistently murdered, butt-fucked and tickled to death by righties means he shouldn't be pitching to righties. |

I think that was a lefty that hit the ball 400 plus feet tonight off of him. I was at the game and saw his temper tantrum in the dugout after the inning. Did they show that on TV? |

I can't understand why he's continually used as anything other than a LOOGY. |

The title for this post could have been Ohman not retiring.....many hitters. Will Oh...man, why did they ever sign this guy....sucks. When he was with the Cubs, the story was much the same. Generally pretty good against lefties (not always, but usually) and horrible against right handed hitters. Why any manager would leave him in a game VS a RH hitter is a mystery. |

Yep, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. I know he was somewhat used wrong because he should be a LOOGY, but even in a mop up role today he gave up runs. Can't have that. |

Quote: Prior to tonight’s game at the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox purchased the contract of left-hander Leyson Septimo from Class AAA Charlotte and designated left-handed pitcher Will Ohman for assignment.
Septimo, 26, is 2-1 with a 1.48 ERA (5 ER/30.1 IP), one save, 39 strikeouts and a .135 (14-104) opponents average over 21 relief appearances this season with the Knights. The .135 mark would be the lowest among relievers in the International League with the necessary batters faced. He has limited left-handed hitters to an .095 (4-42) average against with 16 strikeouts in 2012. The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder was a non-roster invitee to White Sox spring training this season. Septimo is 4-2 with a 2.70 (17 ER/56.2 IP) in 43 appearances over two seasons in the White Sox organization. He was claimed off waivers from Arizona on June 13, 2011. Septimo, who has no major-league experience, will wear uniform No. 52 |

I was hoping it would be Donnie Veal so the Sox would have an overhyped Cubs prospect of their own to balance Rizzo. |

Douchebag wrote: good dolphin wrote: I was hoping it would be Donnie Veal so the Sox would have an overhyped Cubs prospect of their own to balance Rizzo. You are typically missing the point. Veal was also hyped as a prospect by Stone when he was with the Cubs. Now if you said the Cubs were considering bringing up Joe Borchard you might have a correct analogy. |
