This must mean Morel or Paulie is gonna hit the DL. |

Can Carl Everett and Sandy Alomar be far behind? |

He sucks. He was in double A for a reason. |

We know he sucks Frank. After you go through 4 catchers and you admit you are rebuilding, you have the choice of trading a prospect or what the Cubs did. Basically take a contract off someones hands for a premium. Also taking into account the deal needs to be done in about 12 hours because you only have 1 catcher on your roster. Maybe Frank the big time dealmaker can explain further what he would have done? |

You are the one that brought up Everett, who helped the Sox win a title. Something the Cubs or the migthy Koyie Hill haven't done in a while Morel is likely headed to the DL. Paulie is not available for a few days. Maybe if you removed Mike Mulligan's dick from your mouth, you would have realized that KW did same thing Theo just did in getting another catcher. But no, you aren't obsessed with the Sox. |

This would have been a great time to call up the great Kenneth Williams from AA. |

This is actually a good move, assuming the contract is for the ML minimum. If he works out, great. If not, cut his ass. |

Throw him a couple of bucks, and see if he can be a backup infielder. If he can, great. If he can't, no harm, no foul. It's not like they are bringing him in to play everyday, and bat cleanup. |

No record of O Hud ever playing 3rd base in the majors, but Kenny has seen him play 3rd |

Hendry didn't draft his kid even if he had a kid and then force him onto a roster year after year. |

BA of .276 over 391 PA. He cost $1.375 million. |

They both play outfield. Sox need help at 3rd base. |

Mitchell is probably getting back on track after the leg. His K numbers are still bad (50 in 200 plate appearances) but his OPS is near .830 (BA .263) and he's got 10 steals in 40 games. (in double A) |

RV says Orlando Hudson will play third base in addition to second base once he officially arrives either tomorrow or Wednesday. I remember Hudson was on the White Sox FA radar many years ago before he ended up signing, I believe with Minnesota, the Sox opponents to start a 5-game homestand tomorrow night. Ventura sounded very pessimistic about Brent Morel and his nagging back which kept him out of all 3 games of this Interleague series with the Cubs at Wrigley and all indications are pointing towards Morel being DL-ed before tomorrow's game with the Twins. Hudson wasn't doing all that much when he was with the Padres, and his best days are clearly in the scrapbook. Here's the other question. What number will O-Dog wear with the Sox? Kosuke Fukudome already sports #1. |
