Love watching this guy's hook. Although, his command seems to be awry since the old Tommy John procedure. Perhaps, Quintana can keep up his impersonation of a serviceable MLB starter... |

Card have the 2nd best run differential in the Majors, yet are one game over. They've been lighting people up 10-2, but losing a shitload of one-run games. |

Floyd's game will be the loss. I wonder who's leading the race between Floyd and Dumber on who can get sent down faster? |

Humber is running away and hiding in that race. |

Quintana scattered more hits today, but with the way he is throwing the ball you cannot take him out of this rotation. Either Floyd or Humber is gonna have to hit the DL or go to the pen when Danks comes back. Quintana kinda is like a harder throwing Buehrle. He's gonna give him some hits and a few runs because he THROWS STRIKES! |

Floyd can be nasty in stretches. Probably why he is so frustrating. Humber is not good. You tip your cap to the perfecto, but the body of evidence mostly shows he is just a guy. |

This is what Floyd does every year. He's due for his dominant roll from about now to mid August until he shits the bed at the end of the season for a .500 record and 4 ERA. Humber still has a lot to prove. It's obvious he can pitch on the major league level. He needs to regain focus. |

That was a nice win last night by the White Sox. It wasn't just Orlando Hudson's 2-run triple that got it done. It was a 4-run 8th inning, featuring 4 straight hits by Alejandro De Aza, Gordon Beckham, Adam Dunn & Paul Konerko, not to mention Dunn & A.J. Pierzynski goin' yard. I still worry about Jake Peavy, even though he & Chris Sale have been the best of the White Sox starting pitchers to this point. |

Just before he hit the HR, he hit 2 fouls off his foot. That had to have something to do with it. |

It's too bad for RA Dickey that David Wright doesn't have the skills of Gordon Beckham because he would have thrown a no hitter tonight. |

Well that sucks. Peaves pitched his ass off tonight and came up short. With Floyd going tomorrow Sox will lose two out of three. |

Paulie looking mortal there. Floyd has to do something tomorrow. Losing two series to mediocre NL teams is damn near criminal. |

The Cards are not mediocre. With all the injuries they have dealt with, to be near the top of their division is pretty remarkable. Can't win 'em all, that was a fun game to watch yesterday. |

Terry's Peeps wrote: Not a fan of the sacrifice there. Hopefully it works. I can actually see sacrificing in a one-run game like that against a starter that you obviously can't hit. But once that starter is out of the game there should be no sacrificing. |
