Pitching wasn't the problem against STL or LAD.

If Floyd is back on a positive streak, and I think he is, there is no problem with the rotation.

That is a big if. And then when you consider the fact that Peavy has been pitching a lot of innings and the fact that Sale is going to get some added rest along the way, the picture gets even more problematic.

Of late, the problem has been with the offense and the bullpen. Floyd seems to be a guy that goes on a streak of good or bad for a while. If he's on a good streak, he may well be dominant his next 5-6 starts. But just when you start thinking he's figured it all out....he's back to Bad Gavin.
