It looks like he's going to be traded as Boston said they're giving the everyday 3rd base job to Will Middlebrooks. Youkilis is not having a very good year (.225/.311/.359) and he's a raging jackass but he would be an upgrade at 3rd for the Sox. Youkilis is owed about $6 plus a $1M buyout which isn't too bad and with the free agent compensation rules wiped out it the Sox shouldn't have to give up too much in a trade. |

Youk would probably be a great pickup. He absolutely hates Valentine and doesn't give a shit right now. He is just going through the motions. If you can get Boston to pay most of his salary and only give up the crown jewel of the farm system in OF Kenneth Williams you would have a good deal...but there is no way Kenny would trade away a 5 tool prospect like Kenneth. |
