The 10-game road trip continues tonight through Thursday for the White Sox as they head to historic Fenway Park to face the Red Sox in Boston. It should be an emotional one for 3B Kevin Youkilis as he makes his return for the first time since the trade. As for the pitching matchups... Tonight: 6:10P, Comcast SportsNet & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network CHW: Dylan Axelrod (1-2, 6.16 ERA) vs. BOS: Aaron Cook (2-2, 4.37 ERA) Tuesday: 6:10P, WCIU 26 The U & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network CHW: Philip Humber (3-4, 6.01 ERA) vs. BOS: Jon Lester (5-6, 4.49 ERA) Wednesday: 6:10P, CSN, 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network CHW: U.N. Decided vs. BOS: Felix Doubront (9-4, 4.41 ERA) Thursday: 6:10P, 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network CHW: U.N. Decided vs. BOS: Franklin Morales (2-2, 3.16 ERA) The White Sox are hopeful that Gavin Floyd and his sore arm will be good to go Wednesday, while there's talk that Jose Quintana might be the other U.N. Decided Thursday night. Our Sox will avoid Boston's Josh Beckett in this series, while 2B Dustin Pedroia is on the DL with a thumb injury. Remember the name Pedro Ciriaco. Although he wears a football-like number in #77, he's been getting it done for Boston since Pedroia went on the DL. A .417 BA with 6 RBI's for Ciriaco since his call-up from Pawtucket. |

Why is the UN picking the Sox pitchers? |

I will definitely be watching the ball game tonight. Hopefully, they will have some great close ups of all the little Boston babies crying in their beers and sodas when Kevin Youkilis takes the field. These itsy bitsy bouncing babies miss "Youk" so much that they will all cry to their mommies. There is nothing better than a little baby Red Sox fan crying, because it definitely means something good has happened somewhere in the world. Get used to it, you little teeny babies, your team is again irrelevant. |

Although LF Carl Crawford (elbow/groin) is expected to be activated from the DL tonight & 2B Dustin Pedroia (thumb) Thursday, these Red Sox have been inconsistent and manager Bobby Valentine has been kinda smug when he's opened his mouth at times in his first season. Just like last year in Terry Francona's last season in Boston, the Red Sox team has had quite a few injuries. As a result, you'll see guys like 2B Pedro Ciriaco & OF Daniel Nava in this series, in addition to guys like 1B Adrian Gonzalez, who has a really down 2nd year offensively. |

This just in...Brent Lillibridge, we hardly knew ye in Boston. The SCORE's Connor McKnight says that Lillibridge has been designated for assignment by the Red Sox before tonight's game to make room for LF Carl Crawford, who has been activated from the DL. |

I would rather the Sox got blasted in the first or second inning than to waste an outing like that from Axelrod. Oh and by the way, Vincente Padilla can go fuck himself. I've hated that prick since his days on the Rangers. |

That is about as good as Axelrod is ever going to be and you couldn't get a win. |

And there'll be games where he pitches worse and gets a win. So what. |

A couple of injury updates. Gavin Floyd and his sore arm are headed to the DL, says the Trib's Mark Gonzales. As for the Red Sox, David "Big Papi" Ortiz' Achilles which he appeared to injure during Adrian Gonzalez's 3-run homer last night isn't ruptured or torn, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe. Here's the BoSox lineup for tonight, complete with 2 notable changes in BOLD. 2 Jacoby Ellsbury CF (L) .250 13 Carl Crawford LF (L) .333 66 Daniel Nava DH (S) .265 28 Adrian Gonzalez 1B (L) .288 64 Will Middlebrooks 3B (R) .294 39 Jarrod Saltamacchia C (S) .231 12 Ryan Sweeney RF (L) .279 3 Mike Aviles SS (R) .266 77 Pedro Ciriaco 2B (R) .464 Jon Lester does the chucking for the Red Sox... |

If it looks like a familiar White Sox lineup, that's because it is. Here's how the White Sox will deal with the Red Sox' Jon Lester: 30 Alejandro De Aza (L) CF .276 20 Kevin Youkilis (R) 3B .261 32 Adam Dunn (L) DH .212 14 Paul Konerko (R) 1B .318 51 Alex Rios (R) RF .316 12 A.J. Pierzynski (L) C .296 24 Dayan Viciedo (R) LF .258 10 Alexei Ramirez (R) SS .263 15 Gordon Beckham (R) 2B .239 Philip Humber starts for the White Sox tonight at Fenway. |
