So far he's exceeding every expectation and threatening to become a historically good mid-season acquisition. He will almost certainly settle down to a decent rate. What kind of realistic numbers do we want to see him finish with? Here's what he's been doing so far GP 18, AB 69, BA .319, OBP .415, OPS .966, HR 4, RBI 18 |

So far, the White Sox have gotten the better of the trade with the Red Sox without question. While Kevin Youkilis has stuck it to Bobby Valentine so far in this series with Boston, not to mention solidify the 3B hole on the Southside team, I'm still not convinced that Youkilis is a true #2 hitter in RV's lineup over the long haul. Looking at what Youkilis did for the Red Sox before Valentine's idiotic comments early in the season, I didn't think Youkilis was a #2 hitter. I thought he was more of an RBI guy who should be a little further down in the lineup prior to this deal. I thought the White Sox were set at the top of the order with Alejandro De Aza & Gordon Beckham #1, #2 in RV's lineup and I still think our Sox are more productive with De Aza & Beckham at the top with Youkilis batting maybe 3rd, 4th or even 5th in the order. I know that Paul Konerko had a couple of big hits last night in the White Sox 7-5 winner in Boston, but he's really been slumping since flirting with a .400 BA in May. Might the time be near for RV to possibly move Konerko down to #5 and flipflop him with Alex Rios? |

I expect him to be the 3rd or 4th guy to speak to the crowd at the World Series rally |
