Easy to close when you are up 7 in the 9th. Reed is the closer of the future, no need to move him out of that role now. Leave him alone and let him grow in his role. Assbag can be an 8th inning guy or what he did tonight, finish it out when a real closer is not needed. |

I thought we were arguing that MLB players are more intimidated by Meyers because he has domestic abuse on his record? |

Reed is the closer.... not sure why anyone would suggest a change at this point. Myers gives you insurance that if you need to change down the stretch for some reason, you'll have a guy to change to. But Reed has been pitching better overall this year, and he's only blown three saves, so I don't see any reason to switch things up. Myers can continue to close games where we have 5+ run leads. |
