There today!!!! 11:30!! Have to celebrate last week's straight up NOT GUILTY OF EVERYTHING in a 1st Degree Murder trial I was rousted from semi-retirement to try. Another great reason to actually ATTEND games is that you don't have to suffer Hawk Harrelson! |

The States Attorney is elected. He/She will not just drop or reduce 1st degree murder charges in 99.9% of the cases. The Defense has to go to trial. The States Attorney, be it Daley, Devine or Alvarez does NOT want bad publicity. If a Judge or Jury tosses a murder case and the defendant goes out and commits another murder or other horrific crime, The States Attorney faces the media and can say: "Don't blame me, I tried to put him away last time". |

Alright, let me answer you a simple question. By in large, would you describe cops as good guys or bad guys? |

I think these people go on the job with great intentions. The absolute horror these folks see makes them cynical and jaded. It would make ANYBODY cynical and jaded. That being said, I did cross examine some of those infamous Homicide Dicks out of Area 2 and some out of Area 1 that I knew where outright lying. The system will never be perfect. |

They are. But they can have bad days, so it is not a good idea to tell them to Go eat some Donuts or Go catch a KILLER when they pull one over.
