The White Sox are a first place team again in the AL Central as they hit the road yet again for a 6-game trip. First up is a trip down to hot, steamy & sweaty Arlington, TX where the Sox and Rangers clash in a battle of 2 first place teams. These are the mound matchups, starting with a doozy this eve:

CHW: 49 Chris Sale LHP (11-3, 2.37 ERA) vs. TEX: 11 Yu Darvish RHP (11-6, 3.88 ERA)

SATURDAY: 7:05P, Comcast SportsNet & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network

SUNDAY: 6:05P, Comcast SportsNet & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network

Is the sage in bloom like perfume?

I hope not. It's tough enough as is.

Not sure how to answer that one...They say everything's bigger in Texas. Let's just say the White Sox brought the heat & humidity with them from U.S. Cellular Field. They should be used to this incredible heat.

Thanks, Keyser. This should be a doozy of a series. U'z got a honey of a pitching matchup to start it, but why do I have this feeling offense will be the story this weekend in that ballpark?

You're the secret-OKC. You've picked the Sox to lose 2 of 3 every series this season. Sox will sweep. My girlfriend is going to the game Sunday. That sorta sucks.

The lineup is in for the White Sox, and a certain someone is NOT in RV's lineup that everyone loves to hate. Texas manager Ron Washington might be happy that A.J. Pierzynski is out for a 3rd straight game with a nagging oblique. Here are the 9 who'll deal with Rangers' rookie Yu Darvish:

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) .279
20 Kevin Youkilis 3B (R) .250
32 Adam Dunn DH (L) .211
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R) .336
51 Alex Rios RF (R) .314
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) .268
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) .262
17 Tyler Flowers C (R) .182
15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) .230

Might a DL stint be in A.J.'s future? Chris Sale does the chucking for the Sox.

Sale looks like his arm is dead. Hitting only mid 80's tonight

Where is Sale's velocity? This looks like shutdown time. No stuff at all.

Whew.

That means he'll have a great second half.

Had to be an outfield collision.

Yeah short pop up. Both guys collided after the ball fell in.

Looked like they both broke their arms, but Alexei stayed in the game.

The ball was in the air for an hour and a half. A center fielder playing normal depth could have taken a nap waiting for that ball to come down.

Another HIUGE hit for Alex and it's backed up by a BOMB from Alexei! Nice!

Breathing easier after that HR by Alexei.

Still bring in Reed now or stay with Meyers in a non save situation?
