They have not played well in this park for a long time. A split would be ok I guess, all 4 are night games. Tigers are at Minnesota to start the week and then head to Baltimore so ideally the Sox need to take 3 of 4. Chicago White Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays Monday, August 13, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre Jake Peavy, RHP 9-8, 3.08 ERA Carlos Villanueva, RHP 6-2, 3.30 ERA Tuesday, August 14, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre Jose Quintana, LHP 4-2, 2.78 ERA Henderson Alvarez, RHP 7-9, 4.58 ERA Wednesday, August 15, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre Gavin Floyd, RHP 8-9, 4.43 ERA Ricky Romero, LHP 8-9, 5.32 ERA Thursday, August 16, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre Francisco Liriano, LHP 0-0, 5.65 ERA Aaron Laffey, LHP 3-3, 4.72 ERA |

The Blue Jays are a MASH unit. This is a good time to get them. 3-4 would be real nice but a split is fine. The Sox should knock Villanueva around tonight. |

They're not just a M*A*S*H unit, but reality appears to have set in for these Blue Jays after getting off to a decent start. I'd like to think these White Sox will take care of business vs. the last place Jays the next 4 nights. Weird things tend to happen in recent visits to what's now called Rogers Centre for the Sox. I'd be happy with a split, let alone 3 out of 4 vs. the slumping Jays. All bets are off however, especially in that place. |

Donnie Veal is back. CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes & the Trib's Mark Gonzales have Tweeted that the veteran lefty is back with the big club as a 13th pitcher while OF Jordan Danks got optioned to Triple "A" Charlotte after yesterday's White Sox 7-3 winner over the A's. |

I would rather Jordan Danks as the 4th OF over Dewayne Wise. |

Frank Coztansa wrote: I would rather Jordan Danks as the 4th OF over Dewayne Wise. I do too, but consider this for a moment, Frank. First, Jordan Danks has minor league options. Dewayne Wise doesn't. The way this 7-day concussion DL works, once Paul Konerko gets clearance from both White Sox team doctors & MLB Wise will be waived. From what The SCORE's Chris Rongey explained it, Wise, as well as the other guys in Triple "A" Charlotte who could've been recalled, 1B/3B Dan Johnson or OF Conor Jackson, do NOT have minor league options left. The Sox run the risk of losing Wise, Johnson or Jackson and could be claimed by another MLB team once a player is waived. In all 3 cases, they've also accrued enough MLB service time that they could refuse outright assignments to Triple "A" and become free agents. It appears confusing, but that's the pickle the White Sox now find themselves. |

RV thinks Dewayne Wise gives the White Sox a late inning pinch runner and a defensive outfield replacement late in ballgames. Besides, as for lefty Donnie Veal, while he's been getting the job done in Charlotte, the impression I get is that the Sox need an extra arm to nurse along the rotation in Toronto & Kansas City. |

I have no problem with Veal. I don't see how you could use Thornton with a game on the line right now. But your description of Wise works for Danks as well. |

At this point Danks is probably faster than Wise anyway. |

Rajai Davis made quite a catch in the Blue Jays' 10-7 win over the Yankees yesterday. #1 "Play of the Day" on CSN Chicago's "SportsNet Central" yesterday. To answer your question, no. Besides, I thought Kelly Johnson co-hosted a radio show with Karen Hand on B96 back in the day... |

BOTH of the White Sox catchers are in the following lineup. This is how the Sox will deal with Toronto's Carlos Villanueva: 30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) 20 Kevin Youkilis 3B (R) 32 Adam Dunn 1B (L) 51 Alex Rios RF (R) 12 A.J. Pierzynski DH (L) 10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) 24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) 17 Tyler Flowers C (R) 15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) |

I guess it's DH by committee as long as Paulie remains sidelined, while Dunn will continue to patrol 1B. This is Pierzynski's second game as a DH, while Viciedo has also done so twice & the rarely-played Orlando Hudson did so once. |

If you are tuning into the games on Comcast SportsNet tonight & Wednesday, as well as WCIU 26 The U much to the dismay of "The Insider", Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" & "Meet the Browns", "Family Guy" & "American Dad" Tuesday & Thursday, you'll notice a familiar face in the White Sox TV booth. That's right. Tom Paciorek will be reuniting with Ken Harrelson for this series while Steve Stone is away. You remember what happened the last time "Hawk & Wimpy" worked a series together don't you? |
