Hell of a job ny the bullpen and Santiago. Now how about scoring a few more runs and putting this game away. |

Konerko stranded 5 runners in the early innings, and the offense as a whole has had a few opportunities to get a good lead, and haven't been able to get a big hit (through 6 innings). |

Do not bring in Thornton. |

I will be shocked if Thornton gets out of this with the game tied. I think that is best case scenario here. |

Im gonna go out on a limb and say the Sox still are going to need a 3rd baseman next year. I love Youk but he looks like he's about 50 years old playing the game. |

It's not that at all, but the White Sox have some big financial decisions in the offseason. 3B Kevin Youkilis, P Jake Peavy & C A.J. Pierzynski are 3 of them. The lack of actual fans in the stands might force Uncle Jerry & GM Ken Williams' hand. |

Well, there is no doubt that Kevin Youkilis has been an upgrade over Brent Morel, Orlando Hudson & Eduardo Escobar (now with the Twins) at third base. Unfortunately, money talks... By the way, Escobar has been called up by Minnesota's Triple "A" farm team today. He'll be in uniform tonight for the Twins for the first time since being part of the Francisco Liriano trade. |

Right, but the first sentence of your response to badrogue17 had nothing to do with his post. All it did was try to invalidate his opinion. |

He's saying Youk might not be back, but for other reasons |

There are only two ways Youk is back.....1) The White Sox win the WS. 2) Youk takes a paycut. |

badrogue17 said Youklis looked old. Shark responded "It's not that at all". Seems like he thinks badrogue's opinion wasn't true. |

I was responding to the likelihood that the White Sox might still be in the market for a third baseman next year, especially considering how much $$$$ Kevin is supposed to earn next year. |

A.J. Pierzynski is NOT in tonight's lineup vs. Twins' lefty Scott Diamond, but the majority of the regular lineup is in place for Game 2 of this series. Here's the White Sox lineup with the notable change in BOLD: 30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) .280 20 Kevin Youkilis 3B (R) .239 32 Adam Dunn DH (L) .206 14 Paul Konerko 1B (R) .308 51 Alex Rios RF (R) .295 24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) .253 10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) .270 17 Tyler Flowers C (R) .229 15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) .232 Starting Pitcher: 62 Jose Quintana (LHP; 5-3, 3.17 ERA) As for the Twins vs. Quintana: 11 Ben Revere CF (L) .300 8 Jamey Carroll 2B (R) .258 7 Joe Mauer C (L) .317 16 Josh Willingham DH (R) .258 33 Justin Morneau 1B (L) .274 18 Ryan Doumit LF (S) .281 27 Chris Parmelee RF (L) .235 24 Trevor Plouffe 3B (R) .234 36 Eduardo Escobar SS (S) .207 (w/CHW) Starting Pitcher: 58 Scott Diamond (LHP; 10-6, 3.21 ERA) |

Why is Flowers catching so much. Is AJ hurt? It seems to me that whenever Flowers catches the games go slower and they waste too many pitches when they're ahead in the count. STOP FUCKING NIBBLING! If they crush you, they do. But don't walk the whole goddamn world. |
