The most important 7 games of the White Sox home schedule start tonight as those pesky Kansas City Royals visit U.S. Cellular Field for a 3-game weekend series. The Sox start the night 1 game ahead of the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central, but they're just 4-8 vs. Kansas City this season going into this 3-game series. These are the all-important mound matchups:

KC: 39 Luis Mendoza (RHP; 7-9, 4.48 ERA) vs. CHW: 58 Francisco Liriano (LHP; 5-11, 5.11 ERA)

SATURDAY: 3:05P-FOX Sports (FOX32) & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
KC: 52 Bruce Chen (LHP; 10-11, 5.28 ERA) vs. CHW: 49 Chris Sale (LHP; 15-6, 2.94 ERA)

SUNDAY: 1:10P-CSN Chicago & 670 The SCORE/White Sox Radio Network
KC: 33 Jeremy Guthrie (RHP; 7-12, 5.34 ERA-w/KC & COL) vs. CHW: 53 Hector Santiago (LHP; 3-1, 3.71 ERA)

I'm reasonably sure Sale & Verlander rematch to end the 4-game Tigers' series Thursday.

He didn't answer anything. He just gave the initials. Who in the blue hell is TBA?

TBA is to be announced. It's vague, but that's what it is listed as now.

The lineups are in. Here's how the White Sox will lineup vs. Luis Mendoza:

Hopefully they go about three innings and it starts to pour for an hour eliminating Mendoza and working a bullpen already taxed by last night's extra inning game

The skies do look overcast and rain could delay things. Accuweather, which is what ABC7 as well as WBBM Newsradio uses, has thunderstorms around 6P & showers around 8P. Hope this ballgame doesn't take an eternity to finish. They go right back to work @ 3:05P to accommodate FOX tomorrow.

Why the fuck is Wise in Left and De Aza in center. And beckham should be hitting 2nd. Fuck.

I'm going to say Royals take 2 of 3. Any lineup with Wise hitting 3rd isn't good.

2-2 with a triple and a HR.

Now maybe if Liriano can stop giving the lead back they'll be in business.

The dreaded purposeful out sinks another promising inning. Two on nobody out. Give them a free out followed by the guaranteed K of Beckham by the hardest thrower in the game. What the fuck did they expect?

Now Reed in a non-save situation to lose the game.

We know how this movie ends.

Good night.

They had plenty of chances and shit all over themselves. Bases fuckin loaded and they score 1 run, lead off triple and he doesn't score. I don't get it.

The cubs were the best offense in baseball tonight. They owned Aj Burnett. Speaking of Aj... It was very considerate of him to introduce d wise to his guy.
