5-12 against DET this year. Time to stop the choking. The division could have been wrapped up already had they played them .500.

Sox can pretty much wrap it up today. DET is choking so Sox need to put the hammer down today.

Having said that, go DET!

The Sox cannot wrap it up today. Detroit doesn't warp anything either if they win.

Its a big game, but win or lose the Sox are still alone in first place after today's game.

Detroit will win then promptly get swept in their next series.

Perfect summation of the season!

The Tigers host the AL Wildcard-leading A's tomorrow through Friday before the Twins visit Comerica Park this weekend. That includes an "MLB on FOX" game Saturday afternoon with Minnesota/Detroit, instead of White Sox/Angels in FOX's OWN BACKYARD!

Sorry to steal your thunder by posting the White Sox lineup SHARKY but my White Sox chubby is bursting.

That's no big deal, Keyser. This makeup game with the Tigers is part of the White Sox biggest week of the season. They go to Kansas City & Anaheim to resume the 9-game road trip tomorrow.

White Sox have 7 games with TB and the Angels plus 3 more with the Royals and Indians.
Tigers have 6 with Minnesota, 4 with KC and 3 with Oakland - only 1 more road series this season.

With the way Detroit plays at home, I think it's likely they finish the season 8-2 at home, and probably no worse than 2-2 on the road, including today's game to give them a 10-4 record to end the season. The White Sox need to finish 5-3 at home this season and 3-3 on the road to finish up 8-6 and still finish up a game on the Tigers.

Huge game today.

You would think the Tigers have the edge from a schedule standpoint with nothing but Twins & Royals after a 3-game series with the A's in Detroit starting tomorrow, but everytime Detroit has tried to make a move up after sweeping the White Sox twice in their ballpark, they've stubbed their toes.

Big time pitching there, hosey. Now get the 3rd out to minimize the damage.

It's already 3-0 Tigers and Doug Fister hasn't allowed a hit yesterday through the first 2 innings. Not a good omen.

This Fister is a real pain in the ass.

All he's allowed to this point is a Kevin Youkilis walk. That's it.

The Sox should lose on purpose since it seems to send the Tigers into a tailspin right after beating them.

Ditto for Dunn, Frank, whose strikeout ended the bottom 3rd. DET 3, CHW 0 going to the 4th.

Delmon Young does it to the White Sox again. His RBI single broke a 3-3 tie in the top 5th as the Tigers lead 4-3. Jose Quintana might get the loss, but he won't win it today.
