I'm stuck here at my desk with no access to TV. Who's winning? |

1-1 going into the ninth. It's about ready to rain hard there. They'll have to pick it up tomorrow if it's stays tied. I don't think that's ever happened in post season. I want the Cardinals. I can never root for New York teams. The kid in left for the Mets brought back a 2 run homer. Hell of a catch. |

Agree. I guess it might be only topped by the basket catch Willie Mays made in the World Series. |

Well that catch might go on to mean shit. I love when they panned the dejected New York fans. |

I don't care who you root for...Cubs, White Sox, Yankees, whatever. This has been one hell of a game. Now for the bottom of the 9th. |

The Cards are about to be Tiger food...hopefully. I hate the NL unless the Yanks are in the World Series. |

How do you not swing the bat? Cardinals going to the World Series. A team with 83 regular season wins. That has to be the lowest for a WS team ever. Plus they lost 9 of their last 11 games. That's our National League for you. |

how do you take that first pitch? i can understand getting frozen on that breaking ball...but that first pitch was just a get-me-over. bases loaded...you know he's not gonna wanna fall behind and risk walking in a run and putting the winning run on second....so he looks at that meatball. in the words of scott lucas...'Ffuck new york too.' |

I don't think good dolphin is in a position to mock other posters' baseball predictions. ![]() |

You don't happen to hang out at the Lampost? I have been 2-2 in my playoff predictions. |

I get over to the Lampost now and then, but my sadly diminishing bar time is much more likely to be spent at Cary's, Huettenbar or the Map Room. |

Starting Reyes by default, rotation as a whole in shambles, Rolen hurt, and yet the Cardinals may very well sneak into Detroit and steal game one. We'll see... ![]() |

Bob Seger, in addition to producing horrific music for decades, possibly has the worst set of teeth for a rich person that I've ever seen. Doesn't he receive royalties from his big "hits?" He looked and sang like a hobo. Cardinals in 7. |

Reyes and the Cards did indeed steal game one as I thought they might. Now, the crux of the matter. Detroit shakes off the cobwebs and butterflies and plays like the team they are or do they continue to be blinded by the spotlights and foolishly continue to pitch to Albert? |

You picked the 8th ranked playoff team, before the playoffs, to win the World Series. The Redbirds weren't even favored against the Padres. The Cards are now up 3 games to 1. I don't know what you knew or saw in St. Louis, but my hat is off to you Sir. |

Nas, stop making predictions because the shit always winds up coming true. You screwed Maggs out of his title. If you ruled the world, I'd move to Mars. ![]() |
